Trust me I would not drive it in the neighborhood , but my son is not what we all call mechanical.
To others the battery was just replaced. Yes it was raining the night it happened. I feel water had something to do with it. I would look it over but it is 120 miles from my home.
My son has a 2000 LC, during the night at 3am the horn came on, no blinking lights etc. He then started it and drove around the block hoping the thing would turn off. It did not. But when he turned off the truck the horn did stop. Today he just tried to start the truck and nothing happened...
I pulled the trigger after having the truck put up on the rack. The only and I mean only thing that looked slightly rusted was the mid exhaust muffler. All rails and brake lines were darn near new looking, fittings had minimal if any rust. I walked all around with a flashlight like checking...
2006 LC High Miles
I have presently two paid for LC's, 1995 and a 2000. I feel I have a good knowledge of the pros and cons of this great line of SUV. Both units were purchased with higher miles. 96 had 140K and the 2000 was something like 82k.
Tomorrow I am going to visit the local dealer...
Ohio weather and the salt "hard and liquid" they put on the roads here eat steel. Rusted brake lines and heater lines are common replacement item. I have a 95 with 244k miles with a fair amount of rust. Onur knows he use to live here. These are great trucks and I enjoy driving it even if it...
I normally buy the parts and just pay for labor. The local T Dealer gives me a 20% discount. Just ask. The labor if I recall was somewhere in the range of $850.00 No cam seals. This is all being done by a local repair shop that specializes in Toyota.
Make sure that the connectors( which snap through small ho;es) for the beauty strip located above and outside by the window is water tight. I located my amp in the same location and fried it after a heavy rain.
Your install looks good.
226k orginal head gasket....knock on wood. This is a daily driver, flushed, water pump but no blue fan.
Lots of loving expensive care. And away we go...........
My 80 is at Ohio State with my boys. I need a good mechanic that is trust worthy to handle minor problems. It is now at a Goodyear Store on North High having the power steering lines replaced. I hope this goes well, they estimate around $300.
So any help would be appreciated. This 80 was my...
I need the whole assembly passenger side fog lamp. Any one?
2000 LC
Bulb shorted out and melted the back side retaining plate for the bulb. My T dealer says I need to order whole unit $$$$ for a truck that has 160k.
Thanks

I am 6'2" with a 32" inseam. I have added the sheep skin and bean butt pad to try to heighten the seat plus offer some comfort. Plus add the peg lowering kit to decrease the amount of leg bend. I have poor knees from football and a few years of long distance running.

New Pics
Well I have had the bike at home for 10 days or so and have been riding when I can. Picked up some items for my butt, wool cushion and beadrider topper to cushion the back side. What a great bike to relearn my riding skills after a 30+ year layoff.
