    go with the sidekick/tracker tank.. fits like a glove.. but only gives you 11 gals.. but it has an intank pump. and it fits nice and tight.. so no departure angle probs...the best imo

    Being a welder.. i have put a lot of steel and sod in the bed of my 45 at times. but i would say the payload is nowhere near 2000 lbs.. i know they say it is.. but with a couple hundred in the bed i can already see the wheel wells movin on down... as for towing.. i have towed my 40 on a trailer...

    go buy a new one for a 73-78 fj 40 from specter or manafre... they are steel tanks with baffles for $250 new. Much better than any poly tank or fuel cell setup you could make IMO.. Baffled tank is very good for TBI setup with less than 1/4 of a tank you wont save much money with the fuel...

    i cant believe that is true.. the 40 springs are drilled for the pin ofset by 3.5 inches...you axle would be way WACKED if your spring was backward...

    i have 700r4's in my 40 and my 45.. they are the way to go... just be sure to get an 1988 or later.. it has a larger shafts and valve bodies etc.. shouldnt be hard to come by.. and you will have to fab a bracket to get the kick down cable adjusted right.. but it isnt a big deal... you will also...
