    High idle speed question

    I didn't’ read every entry of this thread. The title said it all to me! I had high idle issues with my 1997 and solved it by changing out the engine coolant temperature sensor. This part # is correct. Toyotas description is wrong……. Maybe this is helpful?

    And not to cause trouble but the gasket is available as stated for 1984-1987. Is this the same 2F that is in my 1980? And why wouldn’t it work?

    Sorry @FJ40GURU my date was 10 years miss typed, yes I did mean 1986 even 1987! I asked because there seems to be some gaskets available but with dates into the mid 1980’s and I thought all 2F’s were the same regardless of the year?
