Hello all. I have had a fj60 for a long time, but new to pickups and 4runners
I'm looking for advice on what questions to ask or things to look out for on a 1987 2 wheel drive pickup with a Chinook convention. Thanks all.

So I am entering into an area that is very new. I have a vintage 1964 Cox camper and the hubcaps need restoration. I am looking for advice On what questions I need to ask or what kind of a shop I should take it to. Any advice or incite would be welcome.
I just need to chime in and say I followed the above advice. Even the video from Eric the car guy, and I now have a nice cool ride. I have had my truck for about 10 years now and never thought it would be so easy to get th AC up and running. Thank you all.
In the northeast, the 60s are very few and far between, I only drive mine outside of salt season. I am asked about 6 times a year. Just this summer I had a guy try and negotiate as we drove down the I90 at 65 mph. That was crazy.
Great looking truck. 13k in the northeast is not a bad price. I am in Buffalo NY and they are hard to find up here in that shape. Axle rebuild looks like a must, you may ask to have a compression test done so you now if a top end rebuild or valve job is in the future. Good luck.
Another trip up to the Adirondack Mountains. Canoeing on the Fulton Chain, with the 1964 Cox and the 18 foot (The Green Mile) Grumman.
Love it up there.
Looks like you will need an axle rebuild before to long. It has that tell tail sludge coming out. Also it had alot of road dust build up on the steering box. Looks like something was leaking on it for a long time and collecting grime. All in all it looks well cared for. But not being able to...
I just picked up mine today. A great little barn find. Got it off the original owner. Great family that loved it like a child. Last 20 years it was on blocks in his garage. All original an in out standing shape. I have been looking for 15 years. Its a great day.
