Hey All, lets have a meet sometime this month.
Edit: November 29th, 6:30pm @ 6 mile pub Victoria bc.
I want someone else to pick the date/location though! @stevebradford @cruisedeisel @seapotato @cruiserpilot . I know you guys were talking about parts trips, do you mind picking a day where...
EDIT:
We're going to meet at the 6 Mile Pub Wednesday October 11th at 7pm.

Anyone in Victoria area up for a meet at the 6 mile next week or the following? Been a while.
I'm good with any day except Tuesdays. Could shoot for 6:30pm?
I've never imported a vehicle from Japan and am absolutely not familiar with the process. But was browsing today on break for hell of it.
I must be missing something here, but there are lots of 2014/2015 70 series wagons with the 1GRFE (Tacoma gasser motor) for what I think is a reasonable...
Just a bit of diesel trivia. I've noticed early Toyota diesel valves will say 'HZ', 'KZ' or 'L' on them which usually indicates engine family. But then I've seen pictures where they're mixed in a given engine.
For heck of it, I looked up these part numbers. 2LTE exhaust valve 13715-54040...
A friend is rebuilding his 1HDT. I put a 2LTE piston rod beside his. Thought it was sort of neat. They both look super beefy.
1HDT left (dirty one), 2LTE right:
My 35s have decent tread still, but rubber is starting to age and crack. Decided I am going to replace them while they still have some value on the used market.
I love the size for daily driving and offroad, as they are comfy, don't seem to make much mpg difference, and suit my factory 4.88...
Just put through an order for some pre-summer servicing on my cruiser.
Always been fascinated by the OEM toyota 'washable' air filters. Never had a new one in hand though (just have an old trashed one that came with some used parts). I've just been using aftermarket filters.
Anyone actually...
Here is a a video of a morning -8C cold start a couple days ago using a single factory glow cycle. (block heater was NOT used this day). Little pos motor still has good compression from the looks of things.
Day after I decided to try my block heater. I don't use it much as Evans Coolant...
NOT MINE!!!! $3000CAD ($2200USD) for everything. Listing here as would be cool to see someone put this in a cruiser.

I think a bunch of you brew stuff.... Some distill?
I've always had fun with it. Used to do at least 20 gallons a year, but just 5-10 gallons a year now as I try to drink less. I usually use whatever fruit I can get my hands on and make wine or cider, as it's cheap and I usually can come up...
Anyone looked into this at all? Would be neat to fab something up. So much un-recyclable plastic out there....
I'm going to read more into it. I know very little at this point besides the basic concept.
Would be nice to have some options for fuel independence. Some scary stuff showing up...
Wife brought some of my 10 year old daughter's friends to the Saanich fair in her modern car. Asked me to return kids home mid afternoon (in my cruiser) from the fair.
So, stuck in traffic about to leave the fair, and one kid says "my dad doesn't let me ride in cars like this".... I asked...
Hi All, I'm sorry, but I'm just run off my feet this month and wont be able to organize anything. Maybe another Victoria cruiser addict can organize? Just pick a day mid week 7pm at the 6mile....or whatever you want! Would be good to have something happen at least.
The OEM part is out of production. Anyone found a cross? It's a fairly odd one; I guess to keep the brake lines away from the turbo? It sounds like some have gone to an 80 series unit, but I can't find one that matches the brake line locations. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Here is...
My pedal has been spongy and some days are worse than others. My calipers and brake lines are all in really good shape. But I did replace some flexible lines a while back, and have just not been able to bleed the spongy out no matter how much I try.
So, today, giving it another try, I notice...
I know most of you are not into it...but thought I'd try anyhow.
I'm thinking of getting out this Sunday or taking a weekday off the next couple weeks to have some fun in the outdoors. Won't be stock friendly; at least 33" tires and lift required. Location is flexible; but will default to...
Anyone know about this truck? Would be neat to see some build info on it. Pretty cool idea; and actually I really like the look. Maybe I can find a cheap LJ78 and old mine truck and make myself one....
