My cat was toast long ago I'm sure, so taking it out opened it up a little. Carb works great, and from what I have read people do have problems when de-smogging sometimes. Montana has no smog checks, so really doesn't matter to me.
So does it make a difference that I have never messed with emissions on by 87 FJ60. I have rebuilt the carb, but nothing else. I did take off the catalytic converter at about 245,000 but I saved it and it bolts right back on? I'm in Montana so nobody gives a rip, and I definitely am not moving...
I have been using Darren Theurer a little north of the Heights in Billings. He has always done good work on my 60. 406-245-4400 address is 3717 Broken Yoke Dr., Billings, MT
Tell him Bob Eddleman sent you.
I noticed you have Miles in Bozeman listed. I wish. He was the best, but he retired. Also, you have Willard's garage in Billings. I had them put my suspension on my 60 and I told them there were - and+ and they needed to be put on right side or you will get lean. They didn't. Also screwed me on...
I was reading an article about the new Icon Alloy Rebound rims. I looked on a couple of websites and none had fit for FJ60. Has anyone tried them on a FJ60 or FJ62? Thanks.
Yeah, on Bring a Trailer one of the comments said that Haggerty magazine said that FJ60s were "most" collectable vehicle for 2020. That could be reason they have gotten so expensive.
I bought my 60 in 94 and it has been my daily driver ever since. Absolutely love it. But not sure I would buy it if I knew I was moving to LA and had to commute very far. Great thing about living in Montana is a 30 minute commute can be avoided at all costs. Good luck.
Just wondering if anyone out there has had the same problem. I've had my 60 for over 25 years, and it just started backing off enough to make it whistle when driving. Any quick hacks out there for this problem? Thanks.
How much was your wrap and how is it holding up. I have 87 FJ60 with original paint, but would be interested in getting it done in CO. Your rig looks amazing bye the way. Good luck on sale.
