1972 40 series that has had intermittent starting issues, now won’t turn over at all. With the key on accessory and “on” the radio comes on. When I go to turn it over in the “start” position, I get nothing- no clicking , no crank.
Battery is good, I’ve replaced the battery terminal connections...

Got my hands on a super cheap low mileage 6.0 vortec motor. Trying to figure out the swap now but I need a lift to pull the old motor. Anybody in Jersey/ PA have access to a crane or know of a shop who will pull it? My local auto shop wouldn't touch it because of its age:/ 1972 FJ40

my late 72 fj40 has a three speed that appears to have had an overdrive at some point. there was a lever on the tranny tunnel that I guess was for an o.d but the linkage wasn't connected to anything. on the front heater there's this sticker-
I know this topic has been covered a little, but I couldn't find a definitive answer to how to fix the problem. so the issue is on my 72. in the back of the block there's the drain. except mine doesn't drain, it's full of carbon gunk that I assume is leak stop or something along those lines...
