Hmmmm... It is odd. 400 or 500 HP of power coming out of a gearbox? yep. A motor w 18,000 RPM connected to a single speed reduction gear box that fits in the space of a standard size transmission footprint and connects to a T-Case | drive shaft is not normal. But thats what it is. o_O

Always a good question..... (for the 60 & 40) We found the D110 at 5300 lbs completed was running 2.2 m per kWH in 2x4 and at 80 MPH on the 405 in 4x4 was eating 1.5. Slower stop and go should run @ 2.5 Would expect some increase in efficiency with the direct drive variant coming next. Pushing...

Our 1st FJ was very much and R&D crate motor program build and not for production. It is getting a new battery in 2 months and will be about 43 kWhr. Split between mid and rear. We are building a new FJ 40 with a 313 motor with direct drive to tcase and it will be 55-60kWh with weigth...
