    1981 FJ40 Alternator Identification

Learning something new everyday! I always thought that all 2Fs used the same alternators except for the plug change starting in '78. Didn't know that non-US markets used F alternators. That's great information.

    1981 FJ40 Alternator Identification

I believe non-US needs this one. The '74 and earlier alternator has mounting arms at slightly different positions.

Good replacement bulb for OEM fog lights?

To my knowledge Koito has discontinued the 12V bulb this year.

Good replacement bulb for OEM fog lights?

Is your vehicle 24V? What you bought are 24V bulbs.

    Inner window felt length

Nope, I don't have any sample of those. Maybe Phase 2 if the opportunity comes along.

    Inner window felt length

Those aren't on the horizon for now, since we don't have those doors in the US.

    Inner window felt length

If you put the LH and RH side by side, see if there's any difference.

    Inner window felt length

Here are the part numbers I found for the front: 3/'69 to 8/'73 (with vent window): 68170-90351 Apparently a single part number for both sides 9/'73 to 7/'80 (without vent window) LH 68170-90352 RH 68130-90352 It seems odd that the earlier inner felt isn't sided, and the rears aren't sided...

Toyota Land Cruiser Heritage Parts Program Discussion

By now I get that the program is geared toward JDM; however, it wasn't marketed as such when the program was first announced to much excitement. I also question the point of having a JDM program, as there are very few 40 Series Land Cruisers in Japan. The vast majority of these vehicles were...

    Inner window felt length

Rear door inner felts are the same for all years, so all good there. Still need measurements for '74 and later front. I believe the pin distances are the same, so the specific measurements needed (in mm) are: Overall length of the front inner felt Distance from the right edge to the nearest pin...

    Inner window felt length

Thank you so much. The front measurements match my sample perfectly, so I know what to do with the rear now. It's really a great day!

    Inner window felt length

I already sell the trim-less versions, so with trim won't be on the near term horizon.

    Inner window felt length

Wow, thank you. Didn't realize the front and rear are different. My sample piece is exactly 500mm (or 50 cm), so that's a match! Any way to tell if the pins are the same distances apart between front and rear? If so, I can just shorten the ends to make it work for the rear.

    Inner window felt length

I'm in the process of making reproduction inner window felts. Can someone help me to measure the length of the inner window felt for the following year ranges? Please measure in mm. '73 and earlier '74 and later I have a couple of NOS samples, which I believe are the earlier type...

FJ40 ambulance doors from China (Jiansu Juncheng)

In this case, they don’t even need to do any of this. All they need to do is make a good product and run an honest business, and customers would be lining up.

FJ40 ambulance doors from China (Jiansu Juncheng)

I see your point :D I'll tell you what is surprising. They're not supposed to be retailing on Alibaba, which is a B to B site. Buyers are supposed to have valid U.S. business license with tax ID, which the U.S. government actually regulates with Alibaba in order to enforce the tariff.
