Need some help - what to check?
1980 FJ40 running fine for over a year. When I put it together I had 14.7 volts on the battery while running so at one time it was charging properly.
Now it runs fine if you jump it off and alternator is apparently putting out the volts needed to run lights...
Actually have not installed the AC. I've figured out that I just don't drive it like a daily driver. If I'm in the 40, I'm dressed for the weather anyway so I just don't need the AC as long as I'm moving.
I'll have to check on the half door progress. My paint & body guy still has them...
Sorry Mark @65swb45, I never thought to turn it by hand before sending to you. We just steered it around the garage before pulling everything apart - but that was years ago.
I'll send you a refund promptly - maybe you can rebuild or use it for parts.
