Sorry for the late response.. I forgot about the clubhouse portion of the forums.. anyway I have a 7/76 that I've been restomoding for what seems like forever now. It's mostly staying 'yota with the exception of the motor(Gen IV Aluminum 5.3LS with all Delco fuel delivery/tank etc..) and CCOT 4"...
I was taught a long time ago by a Pipefitter to always leave the first thread bare to prevent the tape getting into the "system" and to twist the fitting into the tape as you would be when installing it so that it doesn't unravel as you actually install the fitting., just a FYI. Build looks...
I'm curious to see where you go with this issue. I'm using some Silverado seats and am also struggling with a console solution. I'm kinda at the point now that I'm leaning towards a scratch build, but am starting to get burned out on this project... taking a "winter break" for a few weeks to...
Well, not too much by the way of photos, but spent a chilly Michigan winter day playing with phosphoric acid cleaning and prepping the tub for sealer.. feels so good to see it this nice! Long time coming, for sure!
Seems that the 75(?) and up style (not sure at all what the difference is at all) line is a unicorn.. thanks though. Mine isn't a "resto", I'm just so far down the rabbit hole with the "resto/mod" that it will drive me insane to not touch every part and, if not bring it to Yota specs, a proper...
Thanks guys. I was pretty much resigned to bending my own, which isn't a big deal really. I've haven't done it in a while, but have bent a thousand feet or more of tube from 3/16" all the way up to 1 1/2" for hydraulic systems at work. I'm just getting a little burned out on fab'ing stuff for...
Haven't had much luck finding this, which leads me to assume its simply not available, however I'll give asking here a go. I'm looking for the hard line that runs along the firewall from the master cylinder to the mounting bracket under the blower motor on the passenger side, where the soft line...
Carl Fisher really does some cool stuff and I love his videos! Check out Metalshaper and Wray Schelin on Youtube as well. There is a massive amount wealth of information and skills they're giving away on those three channels!
I also am getting very close to this point of body work. It's been very hard to stay motivated and positive over the very long life of my project as well. I was ready to quit and part/scrap my truck out more times than I want to think about. I had my tub fold in half on the rotisserie I built...
Well, took a big swing at finishing the chassis so the body can go back on. Got most of the fuel system run. Made some custom hoses and bent some hardline. I’m not totally happy with the hardline routing/bend quality, but it is what it is and it’s not bothering me enough to want to redo/spend...
