Wide Band Air/Fuel or O2 Gauge Options

Here's another option that's a bit more DIY, but very reasonably priced: http://www.14point7.com/JAW/JAW.htm I've been really happy w/ my LC-1. I use it for EGO feedback to the standalone fuel injection computer in my VW turbo project, and it's been invaluable for datalogging and tuning.

    turbo build

Any plans to install a wideband? I've got an Innovate LC-1 on my VW turbo project, and it's been absolutely invaluable for tuning. This is a very reasonably priced wideband controller as well: http://www.14point7.com/JAW/JAW.htm

    mechanical fuel injection

I built up a megasquirt standalone fuel injection system for my VW 16v turbo project, controlling both fuel and spark. It's pretty amazing what it can do, and the price is very reasonable. www.megasquirt.info

    3.1:1 T-case gears ARE available!

Yeah, T04 is a turbocharger series. There are different "flavors" of T04 -- T04b, T04e, different aspect ratios and trims, etc.

    Exhaust Resonator Relocation

My LX came with a self-clearancing resonator that magically moves itself upward every time I go wheeling. Nice handiwork, BTW -- let us know how it works on the trail.

    Fitting 35's

Another option: J springs F&R, Slee's caster plates to correct front caster, and longer front brake lines x 2 from NAPA (https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?p=917151). Lower your bump stops 1.25" - 1.5", depending on when your tires rub (use a ramp). Extend your diff breathers using fuel...

    3.1:1 T-case gears ARE available!

I'm going to give big balls a holler again to ask about shipping charges. Since we don't live in Australia, they'll be able to subtract 10% off the price (VAT, or Value Added Tax) -- hopefully that $120 would cover the cost of shipping. I don't think $1200 total is unreasonable, considering the...

    3.1:1 T-case gears ARE available!

Update on the t-case gears: I got an email the other day from Liam at Big Balls Offroad (www.bbmotorsports.com.au). He does have 45% reduction gears for the HF2A/HF2AV. If I did my math correctly, they should be on the order of 3.6:1 for a crawl ratio of 44:1 w/ stock 4.11s. Though they are on...

    LX 450 Trim Removal

I removed my right front fender flare last weekend to repair some of the plastic mounts -- I damaged them when the bottom of the flare hit a rock. The front fender flares are attached with four nuts/bolts along the top of the fender arch and maybe four or five plastic clips just in front of...

    3.1:1 T-case gears ARE available!

I emailed them too and received this response from Aaron today: Hello Jason, Thanks for the Email. The Gearmaster transfer case gears will suit the HF2AV transfer case as well as the HF2A. The only difference of the two is that the HF2AV has a viscous centre. I hope this information...

    3.1:1 T-case gears ARE available!

The Marks Adapter re-gear is a low-range idler gear and a low-range output gear. Low-range gears (incl. stock) whine because they're straight-cut (vice helical like the high-range gears). High-range shouldn't be affected. Personally, I don't think add'l whine in low-range would bother me.

About to install the CDL switch.

I've had some pretty scary moments in HI range offroad when the ABS almost completely disabled my braking. I assume it's because the system senses a little bit of wheel slippage and reduces brake pressure, just as it is designed to do on pavement. No kidding, it feels almost like the vehicle...

    3.1:1 T-case gears ARE available!

Are the rockhopper gears available for an HF2A? Do you know of a website over there that sells them, by any chance? Thanks. I'm thinking about being the HF2AV guinea pig...

About to install the CDL switch.

I got to use my new CDL switch and pin 7 mod for the first time off road today. I love being able to unlock all diffs in 4 LO for tight turns, but I hate the fact that it enables the ABS again (I'm assuming it does, as the ABS light goes out). If the ABS is indeed coming back on with the CDL...

i think i need lockers! HELP!!!

Regarding lockers, putting one on the rear will get you about ~90% of the benefit, while the last ~10% is achieved by adding a front locker. It's amazing what an advantage a rear locker provides, esp. on obstacles that require a lot of articulation. Also, the disadvantage of not having a locker...

Found My friend a nice cruiser today but needs a bumper

I have one of those. It's a lot stronger than a stock bumper and offers more ground clearance but tends to bend/flex when it crashes down on rocks. I like the simplicity and light weight. I don't like the little dents under my side markers where the bumper has flexed into the body... It...

Got my Toyo Open Country M/T's today (Pic's)

I just got some 315 Toyo MTs a couple of months ago to replace my TrXus MTs. I have been VERY happy with them so far. The tire guys couldn't believe how little weight they took to balance! Definitely worth the extra $$$ some of the alternatives, IMHO.
