Double to single din Cupholder option

I don't think that's too expensive for them to pull it and ship it. I'm sure you could get one at the yard for $10, but you'd have to have the time to do it, and this time of the year, not be worried about losing a few fingers to frostbite. ;p I bought one off of ebay yesterday.

    Driving with front shaft removed

I see no problem driving it w/o the front shaft for as long as you like. I had the front shaft out of mine for a month or so after I exploded some birfs. The 80 was driven every day that month, as long as the CDL is on, you're good to go.

Y-Link Suspension Lift + Coilovers - Parts List for 37s with minimal fabricatoin

I think I made some assumptions based on ur first post, but after reading more, you sound like you'll be able r&d ur setup just fine. I was only recommending a shop design ur setup so you wouldn't have to build and rebuild, but if ur up to it, it is a lot of fun and very rewarding to build your...

Y-Link Suspension Lift + Coilovers - Parts List for 37s with minimal fabricatoin

He specifically said he wanted a dd/wheeler, and I didn't say that links and coil overs made for poor road handling. I was implying that he shouldn't be designing the system and expecting it to do what he wants. I have built custom linked suspensions front and rear for a few people over the...

Y-Link Suspension Lift + Coilovers - Parts List for 37s with minimal fabricatoin

Wow, I think you may have have a list that is way out of hand for what you want to do. If you want to drive this thing around town and on the trails, the last thing you should be doing is scraping the front suspension and building it yourself. For someone that says they are not a fabrication...

    Thinking of going high, 3:10

I don't think you'd like the outcome with 3.10's. Why would you want to make such a dramatic jump in gearing? You're tires are about stock size, so why make a 24% change in gearing? I don't think you're going to have enough power at 2000 rpm to hold 60 mph.

    Issues with cutting coil springs?

Just like some others have said, removing winds from your coils will increase your spring rate. If that's something you're okay with, then go ahead. For comparison, the spring rate OME uses is among the lightest around for the 80, about 220 lbs/in. Slee, Ironman, and TJM are all around 250 to...

Swap Drive Flange Studs to Bolts?

Yeah, I've had those kind of troubles before, definitely frustrating. I remember the first time when I was a kid, I replaced the Aisin's with Warn hubs cause they didn't use cone washers, I'll never make that mistake again. If you are still looking for cone washers, PM me and I can send you...

Afternoon @ TSF Crushers = Birf Soup

Yeah, it was 2 weeks ago, just now got around to getting it all torn down, been VERY bust at work. I think it was a combination of ignorance and over confidence that led me into crushers. The worst part was that I knew better to do it while we were alone. There were several whitnesses to the...

Swap Drive Flange Studs to Bolts?

I'm not seeing how this would be beneficial at all. I don't have any problems disassembling the front end because of the properly assembled cone washers/studs. If you swap out the studs for bolts, it WILL be weaker, and you will be damaging the bolt/drive flange every time you remove them...

Afternoon @ TSF Crushers = Birf Soup

Just wanted to share my little bit of carnage. Went to Brown's Camp in Tillamook State Forest the other weekend, was just planning and doing some light wheelin with the family on our way to the beach. Well, that light trail riding turned a bit more serious when I got to Crushers, it's a huge...

    Engo 12000 on sale

I suspect that these Engo winches are the same as the Badlands winches from Harbor Freight, as well as some other versions offered by other brands. I think someone is selling off the rights to the old Mile Marker design and a few manufacturers are stepping up to produce them, there seems to...

    Exspession of interest FLEXI COILS

I suppose I'd be interested in a set if you can get the shipping down a bunch with a big order. I looked before and it was going to be about $900 to get a set of 4 springs over here. Was a bit more then I'm willing to do. Let us know some more info, do you work for Suspension Stuff?, what...

Current value of Series 80 scrap cats

I got $60 each for mine a few weeks ago, was a nice little bonus. I built my own replacement exhaust and between that and the other $20 in scrap for the old muffler and tail pipe, the new system was almost free.

    Bink's Front Winch Bumper - It's Here!!!

Finally got the bumper mounted, wasn't too bad, took me longer to get the winch in place. Looking a bit bare here, Here's the template for the cut that must be made to the frame. You don't cut anything important, so a stock bumper could still mount right back. All trimmed...

    Bink's Front Winch Bumper - It's Here!!!

I didn't use any primer, being as this stuff is made to go on concrete and wood, wasn't sure if primer would just make it worse. What I did do was wire wheel the whole bumper and clean it with a MEK. I have had great success with this method before, but never with deck coating. We will see I...
