I need to adjust the valves so I need to find TDC, but the engine is fully assembled with radiator and shroud installed. How do I rotate the crankshaft to find TDC with the radiator and fan shroud installed? Is it possible to do that? If so, how?

I took the top and doors off and am needing windshield mounted mirrors. Are there any other good quality and cheaper alternatives than SOR or CCOT for the windshield mounted mirror arms and mirrors?
I’m looking for some budget stock tires, 235/75R15. So I’ve been looking at Goodyear Wrangler tires. I live in Arizona so it would see the desert when not on the road mainly when it’s driven. Any suggestions as to these or other tires?
What are the heat riser bolt sizes? I'm looking for the ones that connect the intake manifold to the exhaust manifold. I only have 2 so need to get the other 3. The 2 I have are the long ones that go through the intake manifold. I need the other one that goes through the intake, then the two...
i am replacing my 6-1 MAF headers with stock exhaust manifold. I tried putting the exhaust manifold to the studs for a dry fit. only one side goes on or the other. The middle two studs goes on no problem. I can't seem to get all 4 studs to line up. Anyone had this issue? Could the...
The vehicle has only had 1 test drive since engine was rebuilt. He never drove it and doesn't know the history before the rebuild. He got it in non-working condition. The transmission wasn't touched, but the clutch was replaced.

I have a coworker with a 1989 forerunner (1st gen). He is having trouble with it when driving. It goes into first gear but sometimes pops out of gear. It can shift into second and there are no problems, but it will not shift into third gear at all. It will shift into fourth gear with no...
I cut them and the impact wrench made the castle nuts come off. But it appears that a portion of the cotter pin got incorporated into the threads. I might try to use a tap and die set to chase the threads to make sure they are clean.
But I was able to get the shocks off.
The driver side rear shock is leaking oil so I'm going to replace both rear shocks. I'm having trouble removing the cotter pins as they are rusted and have mostly broken off. Any tricks as to how to remove the rusty cotter pins?

I may try to stop by a local exhaust place to see if they can make one for me.
For the last month of occasional driving, I have noticed the brake pedal works initially, but then with my foot on it at a stop, the pedal slowly moves closer and closer to the floor. I have to "pump it up" to keep pressure in there. What could be causing this? Could there be not enough brake...
I'm thinking of changing over to synthetic oil for my FJ40. Would that just be a waste of money as it would probably leak more. I haven't replaced any seals or gaskets and it already leaks on conventional oil. Would it really leak that much more with synthetic?
Thanks,
Rob
