    Sniper 2GC EFI swap

Update on the 2GC Large Bore Sniper, the initial idle surging problems were simply solved by messing with the mixture tuning for awhile. In case it helps someone else in the future; I had the mixture for idle set up too lean, thinking 14.7 being stoichiometrically 14.7 ideal but it actually...

Here are some stock 60 rims/tires in ok condition, little bit of rust. They are on 33x10.5 BFG AT KO tires with varying tread depths .16”, .22”, .20, .18” measured in center. Date code is 3812 so are made in 2012. I just drove down to coos bay on these so are still decent but old and had a...

FJ60 loss of power with Holley Sniper EFI

Running a powersurge tank or is your pump in the gas tank or is it in-line? In-line pumps overheat and have a shorter life. Post some pics of the setup and information about your settings like target fuel ratio and idle and etc.

    Opinions on fridges

I have a iceco little go20 and love it. On big trips id probably bring my yeti too, but the go20 is big enough for meats and cheese and milk. Yeti for the drinks which dont mind getting soaked. Its smaller and weighs less so easy to carry around. Big enough for half gal milk, two packs...

    Have you done this?

Portland DEQ questions. LS Swapped FJ60

Yeah, youll have no problem. I didnt pass but was alllllmost there just a hair high on CO levels so might just retard the timing slightly and try again. Its free to try, only have to pay if you pass and want it registered. Yeah dont mention the obd2 and theyll put the sensor in the tailpipe...

Portland DEQ questions. LS Swapped FJ60

So I dont have a LS, but did put a sniper on my 2F. I went to DEQ and they didnt care about anything other than a quick peek to see it has a catalytic converter and then they put in a sensor tube in the tailpipe and had me run it up to 2k and then back to idle. So its safe to say you can just...

    FJ62 Brake Replacement

A few important things that should be noted: The bearing nut needs to be tightened to a precise amount of pressure on the bearing, some people use fish weight scales attached to the studs to measure out the resistance of the rotor to turn. Too much pressure the bearing will overheat, too little...

    Sniper 2GC EFI swap

thanks! I mounted it to the firewall kinda nestled under the wiper motor and between the AC lines/washer fluid tank. its pretty close, but worked out fine. I put a small block under the lower screws because the firewall isnt flat there, top screw was on a protrusion. I have a cap on the vac...

    Sniper 2GC EFI swap

Lots of Sniper builds, but haven't seen many 2GC large bore snipers so here is what I did. Advantage of the 2GC is it looks better than the 2300 in this situation and it fits directly to the stock air cleaner assembly. I designed and machined an adapter between the manifold and 2GC. I still...

Free FJ62 front bumper with right end cap. Overall pretty good condition see pictures. It’s an OEM bumper so thick steel one not a reproduction thin sheet steel one. Note that a FJ62 bumper is slightly taller than a FJ60 bumper, it would work but needs some spacer washers.

    Another Weber post, ugh

If he’s using the stock fuel pump it has a return on it. It normally doesn’t push more than 3psi before feeding into the return Did the Weber come off some other car or different altitude? Maybe it has the wrong jets in it?

    Another Weber post, ugh

Well, usually a vacuum leak makes it go lean which might increase the rpm or make it tumble and run roughly, but usually not completely kill the engine. When it is warming up does it rev fine when you push the throttle?

    Another Weber post, ugh

Sometimes vacuum leaks show up only after warming up, manifold is aluminum, head is steel so they have different expansion rates so over time sometimes the manifold gaskets give out. The manifold sometimes warps a bit so doesn’t seal so well so people put on the thick squishy gaskets and those...
