It seems to me after browsing this thread that the OBD Fusion app works with various OBD2 dongles. I have an UltraGauge Blue that I bought a few years ago when they had an apple supported app. When I upgraded my iPhone from an XR to a 13Pro, I discovered the app was no longer being serviced and...
Had the same thing. Apparently the UCA’s need to be removed, the steel sleeve removed from the bushings, and the grease they supplied (Palladium heavy duty 3% moly grease) needs to be liberally applied in between the sleeve and the bushings, then reassembled. Be sure not to apply grease on...
This is exactly how I feel. I added SPC UCA’s thinking I would make things easier on myself and my cruiser. All I did was increase maintenance as the UCA’s must be serviced regularly with new grease in the arms. For me, that’s about once a year…
As this is a 200 thread, I’ll cease the 7x series talk, but if you don’t mind, I’d love to pick your brain on a DM about your setup moving forward and what you’re experience with them is like.
Are you using the Terrain Tamer parabolics and smart coils on you your 78? I’m looking at moving to those with a 700kg parabolic set for my 79 and going to bilstein shocks. Same as you. I don’t adjust shocks. Just give me a big shock with lots of oil so it doesn’t fade, and make it to last.
We should start a thread just for manual gearboxed foreign 200’s! 😁
I’ll double check on what my gearbox is, but I think it’s the same as what my VDJ79 has. I just did the 2nd/5th swop on that gearbox, and love the change in the 79. If 200’s manual doesn’t have the updated 2nd/5th, I’ll do the...
Honestly, I’m not sure. I’ve never used them before, but I’ve heard a lot of good things about them here on MUD, and my colleagues in Zambia stopped using OME, tough dog and Ironman on their Hiluxes, Prados, and Cruisers cause the shocks would break or not last. They’ve done really well with the...
I have a 2017 GXR. Mine comes with the factory intercooler and has cloth seats. I have the 60/40 split 2nd row as well as the 50/50 3rd row. I’ve second row A/C in the center console, no roof or rear A/C. I do have a cool factory mounted step on the right rear of the vehicle for accessing the...
Nice and welcome to the party! I also have VDJ 200 w/ manual gearbox. Mines a GCC spec, but came from Toyota Gibraltar. No KDSS or crawl, but also no cruise control, which sucked. They also didn’t put speakers in the 2nd row doors or the 3rd row. So it’s definitely base! Everything else was nice...
Now that’s my kind of artwork right there. A cruiser looking like a cruiser should, having done lots of cruiser things that day. What part of FL you in? When I’m back that way, I’m in Brevard county.
If you like the style, but don’t want the splitties, GCC lower spec 7x cruisers come with standard grey tubeless steelies. Super tough, 16”, and I believe has the same width as the steelies. I have one in my container that I’m selling w/ the factory dunflop tire cause I don’t personally care for...
I also have similar leaking from my LBJ’s on my 2017. I‘m frequently off-road, and run it hard. I’ve also purchased new 555 LBJ’s from cruiserteq, but have yet to install them as they are a pain to press out, and as others have said, they’ll go a long way before actually needing replacing.
I’ve put 3 x Britax seats across the 2nd row of my GXR. I was surprised when mine didn’t come with the car seat clips, but perhaps that’s because it came from Toyota Gibraltar. Not sure what Slovenian models look like with regards to that safety feature. One thing to note is that with 3 x car...
That sub-tank gauge though… 😍 Hell, the whole cluster gauge. I’ve got the super simple, you don’t need to know RPM’s or oil pressure gauge... Just speed, fuel and battery voltage. 🙄
This stuff right here is the part that is down right terrifying to me. Electrical stuff, if not done VERY well, will plague the most beautiful, mechanically well built cars forever. I’ve seen so many crap cut and splice jobs, where someone saved money by using heavier gauge aluminum wire, or...
So, I just bought myself a 2017 VDJ79 double cab with 117k kms on it. It’s Dubai spec, manual roll down windows and such, with the stripped down cluster gauge. Looks like the camel is of similar spec. I’m very interested in swapping out the gauge panel for the one with RPM, oil pressure, water...
Eish, that’s no good mate. Is that isolated to your buddies cruiser or is this becoming a trend on Aussie 200 V8 diesel’s? I’m not sure about the petrol models, but with the V8 diesel the radiator is covered by a the intercooler air ram valance. In order to inspect the radiator, one has to...
