USB-C is awesome and I only buy phones, tables etc that have them. The other end of the charging cable however is still just the normal USB plug so it will still work just fine on the charging setups listed here.
I cant find a pic of the original quad port, but this one is similar. I gutted all the bits out of the body, cut a hole in the original blanking plate then epoxied it on. There is a surprising amount of room behind the dash at that position
Hello all, I am over cutting 45 degree miters with a 5 inch grinder. Most of my jobs dont go over 2 inch box, with the majority being 1 inch to 40mm. Am I better off buying a cold saw or band saw. TIA
The front and rear diffs can be beefed up a bit but would still have to be used carefully.... I did some research and one had been fitted to a 105 series however the front prop shaft would not clear the allison so it was abandoned.
I doubt the A442F could be setup to handle the Cummins
Hello all, I have seen a few 6bt conversions into the 80, but has anyone tried the 6.7 ISB? Would it even fit by it self or with the Allison gearbox....
Just a quick thread resurrection, I made a mod to improve radiator change outs as they are getting more regular now from friends, relatives etc. The nut inside the grill that is a PITA to get to has been replaced by a nutsert. I drilled out the bolt that goes into the flanged arrangement...
Makita is by far the most popular brand used by builders, tradies etc in Australia. Not uncommon to walk past a power point and see half a dozen chargers plugged in with creative designs/colors/engravings on the batteries so they can tell them apart. Milwaukee are very powerful and had a bit...
Thanks for reply firestopper, lathe came from a local college that trains apprentices, the machine has done almost no work and is very tight. Not too worried about motor as I will just buy a 3 phase one that is suitable for a single phase to three phase VFD if I have to.
I am aiming to have...

Yea the standard twin scroll needs a special manifold, this one with its variable intake valve looks like it could almost bolt up to our flanges and work. My understanding from this one is that both the turbines are the same and that the exhaust gasses are simply diverted into one or both...
I did an installation into the front of an 80 in October for a workmate, and so far all is working great. The only problem encountered was that one of his kids accidently switched on the e-locker, and he soon found that he had some extremely heavy steering when going around the first corner...
I did something similar years ago, was very handy on trips when charging phones, lights etc. Hacked up a cig lighter 4 way usb and mated it to a blank panel cover..
Holy thread revival...... @100 TD How is your fridge holding up, assuming you still have the vehicle? I thought I was the only one to fit one of these waeco fridges as a center console, looks like you beat me by a few years... This is my setup in the 80, wish i had googled mounting kit for...
