Hey folks,
My ‘86 60 needs a lower u-joint on the steering shaft (the joint right before the steering box)
Dealer says the u-joint/spider bearing is not available separately, and that the lower shaft assembly is NLA, so I’m on the hunt for a good used lower shaft..anyone have one?
Thanks!
Pete
After many years and many miles of road tripping it’s time for our well loved adventure-mobile to move on to a new owner.
The good:
-strong running 6 cylinder 2H Diesel engine, rebuilt by a previous owner. 24 volt starter (recently rebuilt) and glow plugs fires it immediately, even in the...
Here's a sampling of what I've got left from a couple of projects - there are more bits and pieces, so send me a note if there's something else you're looking for.
-24 volt starter for a BJ60 - US$100
-air cleaner housing for xx60 -US$75
-3B rocker arms and shaft assembly - US$100
-air intake...
Came from a running engine with about 350 thousand KM.
A couple of arms have wear divots at the valve stem interface, but the rest are very smooth.
I can send more photos if you'd like more details.

Parting out an '84 3B powered 60
-vacuum assist clutch master including the flex line and the slave - US$50
-transmission tunnel shifter plate and rubbers for a manual transmission - if you're switching from an auto to manual transmission, you'll want one of these - US$25
-window regulator...
I'm removing the a/c bits from my '87 2H, but I believe the alternator adjustment arm is integral to the a/c mounting bracket...so, if such a piece exists, I need a non-a/c alternator arm.
I can fab one up, but it means the truck is out of commission while that happens. Original equipment is...
Hello all,
Some more random parts from an '84 3B diesel powered 60:

Posting this here as an addendum to a previous post of mine:
This 4-speed was mated to a 3B, and installed in an '84 60, but according to the firewall ID tag is not original to the vehicle.
Is it obvious to anyone if this is a 41, or do I need to reassemble the linkages to engage the TC, to do...
Hey guys,
Before listing this for sale, I'm looking for your opinions on realistic asking price
Back story: I bought a pair of 60s (an '86 HJ and a '84 BJ) as a package deal, one with a great body but no engine, the other a rusty body and frame, but a decent running 3B. The PO's plan was to...
Hey folks,
a question for those that have a good understanding of the 2H electical/vacuum system interface.
Here's what happened: Driving along at about 50 mph, (wet roads) when the engine suddenly dies, briefly accompanied by the unmistakable smell of hot/burning electrical components.
I...
