Hey folks,
My ‘86 60 needs a lower u-joint on the steering shaft (the joint right before the steering box)
Dealer says the u-joint/spider bearing is not available separately, and that the lower shaft assembly is NLA, so I’m on the hunt for a good used lower shaft..anyone have one?
Thanks!
Pete
Sounds similar to what I experienced when the bearings and bushings in my transfer case went south. Things can vibrate internally without any play on the output shaft, so it can be difficult to diagnose.
After many years and many miles of road tripping it’s time for our well loved adventure-mobile to move on to a new owner.
The good:
-strong running 6 cylinder 2H Diesel engine, rebuilt by a previous owner. 24 volt starter (recently rebuilt) and glow plugs fires it immediately, even in the...
Bob, do you still need a wiper motor? I've got one from a 60 series, not sure if it's got the same mounting setup as your 75.
Email me if you're interested

-24 volt starter for a BJ60 - US$100
-air cleaner housing for xx60 -US$75
-3B rocker arms and shaft assembly - US$100

Hey Steve, I have boots and plates from a BJ60...not sure what year, as they came as a parts collection with a truck I bought. Email me and I'll send you some photos to see if they are what you're after.

Came from a running engine with about 350 thousand KM.
A couple of arms have wear divots at the valve stem interface, but the rest are very smooth.
I can send more photos if you'd like more details.

Hey Theron,
what the heck are you carrying when in expo mode that weighs so much?? I know you've got the larger fuel capacity, but, jeeze, that rear spring pack looks like it came off a dump truck...
Thanks for sharing all your build details - I'm sure you're single-handedly causing the...
Hi Dave,
I've got an '87 HJ60 that I'm parting out - I bet that piece is common between FJ/HJ/BJ 60s
Send me an email to corvidesign1 (at) gmail.com and we can discuss

Parting out an '84 3B powered 60
-vacuum assist clutch master including the flex line and the slave - US$50
-transmission tunnel shifter plate and rubbers for a manual transmission - if you're switching from an auto to manual transmission, you'll want one of these - US$25
-window regulator...
I'm removing the a/c bits from my '87 2H, but I believe the alternator adjustment arm is integral to the a/c mounting bracket...so, if such a piece exists, I need a non-a/c alternator arm.
I can fab one up, but it means the truck is out of commission while that happens. Original equipment is...
