My fj60 distributor vacuum advance is no working ( not holding any vacuum in primary or secondary ports ) . Diaphragm got to be broken ... I know this part is not longer available from toyota .. But anybody know if this part can be rebuilt or any good replacement that somebody have tried .. ...
I got a fj62 for $600 ... But the kickdown cable from the throttle to the transmission is broken ... I need a new or used one .. Try several sites and no luck .

I am sure you have some junk or dirt in the needle area .. You need to disarm your carb again and clean the bowl and needle area ...
Avoid using your truck , until you fix this ... Or you will lost you truck due to fire in the engine ( the gasoline will spill in your hot manifold and engine...

For me that is a nice fj40 that need a little tlc . If you dont want rust in a Japan 1979 vehicle done with " not the best metalurgic or steel quality " , expect to pay big money. But if you want a near factory cruiser that will need your time ( and if you like old vehicles you will learn that...
