I don't understand, and any help would be appreciated. Again probably part of my frustration,
I do apologize to you Canuck safari, I know you are a living legend on here, but just felt I was going no where with answers.
In the morning when the engine is cold, if I throttle up, a little bit of...
here is a link to a video that show's almost exactly what my truck is doing, but isn't a tractor..well, it is a toyota after all
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Two Stroke Smoke Rings - YouTube
Maybe I should word my question this way.
What may be the root cause of seeing little round circles of exhaust coming out the pipe? Not a constant flow of circles, but mixed with stream of exhaust and many round circles.
Please read, and if in not being clear I do apologize, but my request was a simple one I think.
I am asking if having O's being blown out the exhaust is a normal thing? Such as a smoker would do, and comes out the same and at times can count 20-50 of the behind or beside the truck. You can see...
Not to sound like an ass, but your answers are changing what I'm asking. I'm not asking for smoke advice, nor have I mentioned smoke anywhere in my posts. I have never really seen O's coming out of an exhaust before and thought I should ask if it is a concern. It is exhaust not smoke!!!!!
It's mostly due to temps outside and seeing the O's. In the morning it's be colder lately and even during the day, if it's cold enough to see my exhaust, that's when I notice it.
If it warms up, I don't see it.
it's more of a worry to know if there is less compression in a cylinder causing this...
Haha, I know it sounds funny, but before I laugh too much, I would like to know if it's of concern.
When it's cold out, or an early morning startup, I notice the exhaust puffs out little O's or o rings into the air, along with plumes if exhaust.
Is this a symptom of engine or piston issues or...
This truck is my buddies old ride, and I'm not the one selling it, but thought I would help his family sell it.
It's a one of a kind, there won't be another one out there like it, with custom helicopter doors.
Beautiful truck, and is such a sweet ride.
Enjoy...
Running out of options, and I figure rubber overdrive is the cheapest, and easiest to option to reverse.
As we all know, the 5spd hdt combo revs really high at highway speeds.
I've replaced stock tires to 315's which helped greatly, and dropped my rpm's by 200ish.
I've recently thought to...
So a few wheeling trips, and a number if crappy winters have chipped/ pitted my rims.
I'm wanting to sand them down and paint them this summer, but trying to figure out best color.
I like black, but it's over done, almost same with gun metal, but is my number one choice so far.
Second in line...
Sounds to me you crossed your cables at some point and shorted it out.
If I'm not mistaken, there is a cable that runs from the positive battery and off to a relay. This wire will be the first to melt/short to prevent catastrophic failure elsewhere.
Have a look to see if it's still there or...
Anything touching the big piece of metal that runs between all the glow plugs? On my hdt that piece of metal is uninsulated and runs hot when super glow and regular glow is on.
I once almost forgot a wrench up there when I went to start it. Thinking back, what you are describing is what I...
