    The Coleman Thread

Just tried turning the logo and you are correct, it turns 90 degrees... crazy.

    The Coleman Thread

Honestly I'm not entirely sure how its intended to be used. The big bin would make the most sense for ice. I believe the Coleman badge is the wrong way because it can be used horizontally or vertically.

Picked up this weird vertical cooler today.

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

It's a pretty easy job. I took the carpet out of the back and used that for a template. For the piece on the tailgate I used the factory board as a template to make a new one, then attached the linoleum with spray adhesive and finished the top off with the factory plastic trim piece. I have...

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

It's hunting season and I finally got tired of my muddy blood stained tailgate carpet. Thanks to a free linoleum scrap it was a pretty inexpensive job:clap:

    Jerry cans

I prefer plastic Scepter jerry cans. I've had steel, but even here in the dry part of Montana rust becomes an issue with them. The difficult part is finding the plastic ones, but you may have luck at an Army Navy store. Cheers, Scot

    Declared value insurance policy

For older classic cars I have been very happy with Hagerty. We had USAA for 17 years but that ended after they failed to pay a shop for a windshield replacement done by someone other than Safelite. After months of phone calls and party calls they failed to reimburse so we started shopping...

Having a hard time justifying the cost....

A couple of things to consider regarding the price of a Land Cruiser. First, I purchased both of the Land Cruisers I've owned with right at 200K on the odometer. In my opinion milage doesn't matter as much as the overall condition. Land Cruisers tend to be built to a very high level and do...

    80 vs. 100

I began my Landcruiser life with an 80 and now have a 100 and used both as you intend to use yours. That being said here are my thoughts. 80 Pros- maintenance is cheaper on the 80 and more doable in the field, the 80 rides like a truck which I like, the 80 is simple 80 Cons- slower (mine was...

What do you carry? Tools, recovery, spare parts, etc?

I carry the usual tools and have added ignition coil packs to my LX470 load out. My 80 series was fairly predictable regarding maintenance, but the 100 series coil packs (in my case) seem to go bad without notice. They are easy to replace if the need arises. I also bought a cheap code reader...

Power and start in 2nd gear buttons?

Someone else mentioned it in a different thread, but I have found the PWR button make a significant improvement if you engage it for steep hills at highway speed. Thats about the only time I use it.

    100-series vs 4runner Trail

I daily drove an 80 series for quite a while and loved it. I bought my wife a 2018 4runner and sadly was very disappointed. The quality was nowhere near the first gen 4runners I had previously owned. It was so bad that we ended up trading it in for a Subaru after less than 2 years of...

22 Hours Straight Through, a Deer, and a Bumper

Glad you are okay and the truck is still drivable. With the deer we have in Montana that's often not the case. It is for that reason and only that reason I went with an aftermarket bumper. Don't really see much point without a bull bar though, Cheers, Scot

Noob attempt to replace front rotors pads and bearings

If you plan to use the old races to seat the new ones make sure you sand or file the leading edge of the old race. My dumb ass didn't and I got them both stuck:bang: Cheers, Scot
