   heater core

   Believe my heater core is plugged on my 85 fj60. Don't think I have the expertise to put in a new one. Would it be wise to try and flush it out - how would I go about it?

   fj60 overheating

   Thanks for the help, I replaced the thermostat and it runs great. Easy job, but it was my first so I have a smile on my face!

   fj60 overheating

   Please help a 60 owner as he attempts to become more mechanically self sufficient......My 60 overheated badly, went into the red for 30 seconds or so before I could pull over. Steamed a little after I stopped and vented coolant. Do I worry about engine damage? Never had overheating problems...
