Way to go! I would suspect that more than one truck here has been counted twice, maybe there's even one that's been counted 3 times. It would be very hard to know for sure considering the time span of the thread and people's restorations and paint jobs.
That's my feeling about it also. I am mostly reacting to most people's advice RE: the better oil circulation of the 2F Vs the F engine. It's supposed to be enough of an improvement to be consequential.
I'm having an H55 tranny installed currently, and I will eventually get front discs. I have the F engine with all stock carb, exhaust, but an electronic ignition setup because it's just so much more reliable on a cold day. I installed a 2.5" lift Dakar spring and Bilstein shocks by myself in the...
It's a really beautiful rig, and is close to my heart as another 71 owner. It must be extremely difficult to let it go, but I also understand the limitations of maintaining such a period-correct example. I'm into keeping cosmetics essentially correct, but everything else is fair game.
If you have the three on the tree, the reverse lights are always a pita with those. I generally have had to clunk it back and forth a couple times to get them to turn on.
I found a website with codes on it: Toyota Land Cruiser Paint Color Codes and Names 1961-1975 - The Old Cruiser - https://www.theoldcruiser.com/land-cruiser-archives/toyota-paint-color-codes-and-names-1961-1975/
OOPs. I don't see a Sunny Yellow there though. There is a Suntan Yellow.
Hope that...
Perhaps someone else can give you a better suggestion, but you might have better luck with a paint business that specializes in restoration. I have never used them, and I can in no way vouch for their service, but I have seen mention of TCP Global. Many other Mudders have used them for paint...
You may have already considered this, but it's important to remember that the color will have changed over time. It's going to look different in both the color chip and on the car. In most cases, it will have faded, but it can also lose pigment of one kind or another, changing the overall look...
In case this information got buried or not completely explained in the previous comments:
The reason that a "conversion" must be done for 134A is that the material used for o-rings and gaskets in older R12 systems will soften and leak in the presence of 134A. There are some older ACs which may...
I wouldn't take that to mean they were counting 2 for themselves, I took that to mean adding up 2 since #10 was declared and thus #12.
If they were counting 2 for themselves, why would they declare #12 and not #11 & #12?
Though I guess it could be either...
I would personally take the chance. Sometimes part numbers are the same on different things, but this is the same part number on a Toyota branded distributor.
