Thanks. So accessed between the track and the seat cushion? I’ll pull the seat cushion off and see if it is obvious what it is that is the stopper pin or whatever.
I’ve done the gamiviti fix many times over the years but trying to make factory auto seat into manual without using the nuts on front of seat each time. Have an extra corbeau manual seat mount/bracket. BUT, how do you get the factory bottom rails that bolt to floor to slide out of their mating...
1996 LX450 for sale. 326k. Non-locking front and rear diffs - see axle code 292 on VIN sticker. Very good driving and rust free LX450. It drives, idles, accelerates briskly (for these), shifts properly, low range is easy in and easy out, etc. AC and heat work as they should. Head has been...
Me either and slow95z is solid. Haven’t bought from him yet but he’s always helpful. I’m in Watkinsville and happy to talk. 831-261-1153. Please give a call and we can talk paint and cruisers.
Dugan at ACC referred me to a guy that does body and paint for them. Called that guy and he was very hesitant to do single stage paint. I'm taking the car by for him to see it and discuss it in person. Too difficult over the phone. If anyone has white fenders and a white hood in good shape...
That is correct - single stage from the factory. It's just that no modern shop that I have found will do single stage to make it match the factory look. They only do base and clear and they have said that within a short amount of time, the panels will look different and you will be able to...
I have a 1997 LX450 in white. It is a super clean car but had a tree recently fall over the two front fenders and hood. State Farm paid the claim but the fenders are no longer available AND our local shops (including dealer) don't do single stage paint. I want to keep it as is with the orig...
I have 97 1FZFE new OEM short block and redone head with Wits End turbo. Trans shifts fine between gears and will kick down fine when jump on gas pedal. Issue: even when shifter is manually put in low, it takes a long time to get power to the wheels. VERY sluggish. Will eventually get to speed...
Well, I started another thread yesterday because everything went crazy when I got water intrusion somewhere in my wire harness. See that thread if helpful. Short story is that I swapped the harness today and it solved the issue. We’ll see if it solves this hot start and die issue.
As George Castanza’s father famously said, “I’m back baby!!”
Took me 10 hours but it’s done except for adjusting the TPS/idle. Idling about 1000. Super smooth. The other item for tomorrow is to swap the knock sensor from my donor motor. Coupling is broken off and glue didn’t hold. That’s...
Thanks very much. I suspected water messing things up somewhere. Swapping new OEM harness in right now. Will report back with findings and praying it is the solution. If not, at 350k on the clock I don’t think the harness is wasted effort.
There is not issue creating the stutter. It idles rough, revs on its own to 2000 and crack down to 400 for a bit, struggles and goes back up to 2000, etc. It will sometimes idle well enough to make me think I fixed something, then drive up the block and acts just like the air intake hose is...
