Gents-I've recently moved back to NC, and went through the joys of setting up insurance. It got me thinking, these rigs are getting older, and classic car insurance can be pretty cost effective-but comes with restrictions.
What are you all using for an older rig, that still sees trail time?
I finally started to tackle the wing window weatherstripping...figured 51 years so it's ok if I replace it a bit early. :)
Well I managed to break the stud under the driver window...anyone know of a repair or replacement source?
PS...I don't have a welder.
Used CCOT Bench Seat, boys are big enough to appreciate the jump seats. Looking to send to the next '40 owner with little ones. Good condition. $350, prefer local, but willing to ship if you want to pay.
All,
Moving so need to get rid of some parts:
Hard top off my '72...good shape, but needs some TLC (beyond my capabilities) $550 for top, sides & rear header.
Rear Tube Bumper...bought on 'mud, never ended up using, trying to get some money back out of it $125
SOR Sport Bar...removed from...
I have a set of used in good condition MetalTech Tube Doors-I mounted for one summer, then they've been sitting in the attic - $250 SOLD
I have a used tube bumper, I bought off 'Mud but never mounted. It needs a bit of paint/but is in good shape - $125 (I have new end caps for the tubes)
I've spent much of my summer chasing down the little rattles and other noises that seem to vex me during my drives.
2 Sources of rattles seem to be my inner door handles. Looking around it appears that the LH door handle is dc'd, and RH is available at the usual sources. I've also seen the Thai...
So...backstory, I moved 2+ years ago, just found my old bikini top for the '40 last weekend. I've found no less than 3 full Bestop style channels, but the bikini top I have uses a cord style channel. Hoping someone has an old channel looking to go to a new home...
All,
I'm in a bit of a situation with my windscreen. I could use an able bodied 'mud friend to help me install my windshield. (My father and I thought we could get it done when he was in town, but the weather stipping I'd gotten from SOR was too big-long story short, I cut it, and still didn't...
I have tried searching, nothing immediately came up with the information I am hoping to find. I need to know the tank depth of the in cab fuel tank. IE from the sending unit straight down. I don't have my truck available to me and I am looking at picking up a floatless sending unit due to...
I have a January 1972 build that I have had for 18 years. It has never had a washer pump/tank - I purchased the kit from CCOT and have been trying to get the washer pump circuit sorted out. I have read through cooler man's write ups and searched most of the afternoon but no dice.
From my Haynes...
