    SM420

    My FJ40 has a SM420 with an Orion transfer case. The Shifter for the SM420 vibrates and rattles a lot when driving highway speeds. Is this normal? Everything works well, just the vibration and rattle drive seem out of place.

    I run a GM 350 Ram Jet engine and it is nothing less than phenominal. It has Vortec heads but not a 'Vortec' motor. Anyone running the Ram Jet and have a comparison to the Vortec motor as far as performance?

    Bakelite is still used for Magneto caps, not on FJ40's, but it is one application I still see its use!

    Anyone know if there is a difference between OEM axles/differentials in a 1970 FJ40 compared to a 1976 FJ40? I had someone tell me the 76 OEM set up was improved and more heavy duty than the 70 models.

    ORION T-Case Assembly / Mechanics

    Have the choice of 3:1 or 4:1 ratios for Orion. Beau at WFO recommended 3:1 for a match to the Turbo 400 tranny. Anyone have the Orion with auto trans and what gear ratio you go with?
