    V8 Swap Log - 60's with V8

    FJ62 2003 5.3 Drive by wire with Cruise 4L60E trans Mechanical Fan 4.10 Gears 4in Lift 35 Tires 14.5-15 MPG No real issues I have put 53,000 miles on the swap.

    I had the same problem so I ended up just removing the motor mounts off of the frame and bought some for a Hot Rod weld in kit. Lowered the motor with a jack and welded it in. It was all done with the motor in place. A Pain but only really a few hrs.

    Well my Tcase location didnt change at all so all the same linkage stayed the same. It being a 62 might be a little different as the shifter just had to move forward and backward. It was a non issue.

    Mine is wired HOT wire TO THE BACK UP LIGHT Positive and then just locally grounded. While I was at it I put a switch on the dash I can manually turn on the back up lights so I can have some camping light. LED bulbs are AWESOME

    Wanted  FJ60/62 Rear axle shaft (long side)

    I am needing an axle shaft for my rear long side. During a rebuild I found my bearing surface on my shaft to be in poor shape. Had to put it back together and run it with a new bearing but it will need to be fixed in the future. Shipped to Tx 76457 Taylor Smith tsmith.eng@gmail.com
