    Help... Yes, Brakes again

1978 FJ40, Original MC (MasterCylinder) rebuilt in 2013 and again now. Removed and cleaned the PV (ProportioningValve) by removing and inspecting the 21mm nut, spring, rubber washer, and confirmed fluid flow. (Seems good??) Bare with me as I attempt to explain: Was driving and discovered the...

    Break in question

Did the engine rebuild and have been driving occasionally. Short mileage. Of course used high zinc products and have already done one oils change at about 100/150 miles. Continuing with high zinc products. My question is: what if any are my limitations for longer drives. Do I need to keep...

    Brake rotors

Very simple.... Opinion question. I have shopped for new rotors on my 40. O'reilly's has a 38.00 for the best brake rotor. Advanced has two 50.99 or 125.00 for the Beck Arnley. From Toyota 112.00 for theirs. I am not too concerned with the price point. Just wondering why such differences...

    Face plate inside gauge cluster

What's your opinion? The more responses I get will help me decide what to do...: Found a company that will laser print and restore face plates inside the gauge clusters. The initial set-up cost is pretty outrageous, artist, layout, etc. That said, as a way to give back to fellow Mudders I...

    2-Fer

Two things here ... First is pretty easy.... What is it (yes a sensor) but for what? And there seems to be a few places it will mount..... Where is correct? This is the piece in question? Second.... I mounted and plugged up fender sidelights. My turn signals are not working?? All lights...

    Ford  96 Bronco gas gauge

Ok, I am at my wits end here with this thing. My other car is a 96 EB Full Size Bronco. 220,000 miles and in great condition. Over the past three years, ever since dealership replaced the sending unit, my gas gauge is possessed. It seems to work normally from full down to half a tank. THEN...

    castor shims dilemma

Getting ready to put 4* castor shims on the front. Everything I read says to put the thick part of the shim to the front. That I find... My logic says to put the thick part it in the rear. Which would roll the tire counter clockwise fixing the castor. Am I just not "getting it". Any...
