Start with fairly thick rump and cut into strips about an inch wide. I like a bit of fat on it too. Dip in vinegar and sprinle with crushed coriander, salt and pepper. Hang in a cool dry place with good airflow (or build a simple box with a couple of computer fans like I did). Make sure the...
I will be watching with interest as I have an issue with a fuel gauge that shows half when full and about a quarter when empty. Have checked everything I can think of, and replaced the fuel sender unit, all to no avail.
Fair enough, but I'm surprised that they installed the lpg tank in the cab of your truck. You should have the petrol tank under the seat, so plenty of space under the truck for the lpg tank (like mine). Could be that you could relocate the tank for the same price as stripping everything out...
Before you over-complicate things, have you checked the fuel sender gasket yet as somebody else suggested? It was the main source of the gas smell in my truck.
If you can get hold of one of these:
.:Volcano Cookware:.
They fit on the same base as the skottle or skottel bbq's , and are great. I have had mine for about 20 years, I still do eggs and bacon and steak on it, the non-stick surface is still good, and because it is flat you can do lots of...
One of my pet hates. People use "overpriced" when they mean expensive. As you pointed out, you can only describe something as overpriced if you know the margins. We manufacture wooden toys - they are expensive compared to plastic toys made in China, but they are not overpriced dammit!
It's a tough one. I even hate driving mine in the rain - OK mostly because it leaks like a sieve and I get soaked, but still. Salt I dunno, probably not.
I think the 80 Series was probably Toyota's finest moment. I still regret selling my Jap spec 80 VX TD (the 105 is nice, but not quite the same). That said, I love my 40, it puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. Unfortunately the wife hates it, so you are a lucky man!
The door seals on my rig were glued on with f#$%ing copious amounts of silicone. Eventually just wirebrushed the whole lot off and re-painted the inside of the doors. Hope your experience was a bit better.
Might be the same idiot that owned my shorty previously. Silicone should require some sort of an IQ test before it can be purchased. Anyway nice truck mate!
I have a 78 with the kick vents and the rear pop-out windows, but the cab still gets pretty hot. Was thinking of going for extra heat shielding in the engine bay and around the exhaust. I will be interested to hear how your idea works if you go that way.
