Thank you Everyone. She runs! After twenty or so heart stopping minutes of white smoke, she cleared up and runs well. No leaks, no milky oil, no over pressured radiator. ☺️
Until now, my biggest LC job was swapping out a 1f for a 2f. I've also got 1960's small block Chevy experience.
I would say all that is like swimming in a backyard pool, compared to the ocean of your swap.
C.Dan, I think your right, I have a hose on the nipple just forward of the PHH. It has a second hose on top of a portion of it as a protective sheathing. You can see it coming through the manifold in the attached picture. I'm guessing, a str
ay hose found it's way onto the nipple. Are there...
That's the right size, but P.O. did a can of head gasket sealer that turned the inside of the engine chalky and the hose is clean inside. I feel like a fool for not getting this figured out.
I thought it was the # 1 bypass, because it looks like it on the diagram, but I've already got that hooked up. This is a smaller diameter hose. I can't find any open nipples on the engine, I marked one end as going to the block (thought I'd help myself know which end to put where), my worst...

That definitely crossed my mind, but..... The wife wasn't all that happy when I went to the junk yard and came home with a new car, so I figure the last time and expense right now is best
I'm new to the world of 80's , but not to cruisers. I've owned a couple fj40's an LV, an fj55 and an fj60. All but the 60 were pretty stock. A couple weeks ago I was walking the local wrecking yard, and looked up to find a '94 fzj80 sitting on it's axles in front of me. Dumbfounded, I looked...

This is the pig I listed last year and sold for $500 to minipig. He never came for it, or paid for it, so it is up again. https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=81851
