Hey guys. Not sure this is the place to ask this but I have an 80 series land cruiser and we travel and camp with the wife and my two kids on car seats. We are looking to add a medium size dog to the family but I was looking at recommendations on where or how to transport him safely and...
I'm in the middle of doing the valve cover gasket and when I pulled the cover off the spark plug tube seals practically crumbled. One of them stayed complete in the tube and a couple others fell apart.
I picked up the pieces but one from the #6 is missing and can't find it anywhere.:(
I...
Die Hard battery wasn't holding charge anymore and it was hard to pull the trigger because of cost ($300) but I think is worth it.
Install was a breeze, no need to trim anything since the fins at the bottom narrow down enough to fit.
Cables are a little tight but they reached fine.
Northstar...
I'm spending a couple more days in South America before heading back to the U.S. and tomorrow im checking out a 97 cruiser that is getting parted out. All I know is that it is complete and has the oem second fuel tank option and ambulance doors.
I was thinking about possibly getting the fuel...
Just in case somebody is having the same issue.
It started by having a very slight wobble while hitting the brakes to slow down on mountain road downhill turns.
A couple of trips later the wobble started getting scary and every once in awhile even while going straight and hitting the brakes on...
So.... I have this little problem. While trying to upgrade hardware on my rear bumper, the 12mm nut inside the frame came loose :bang:.
Don't have a big enough opening near to hold the nut on the inside and now I'm afraid of removing any other bolts.
I know there is a super simple trick to...
After a nice camping and wheeling weekend in Borrego springs I found this while airing up.
Just before getting on a 140 mile drive home with my two boys and wifie I noticed a little grease on the inside of the tire. After a quick inspection noticed the steering arm basically hanging by...
After driving with the 0401 light on since I bought it, Its finally cleared!
I know there are a million of these but I thought I should share ;)
For the last four years I' been clearing the code with the scangauge before getting the smog test and it has never been a problem until now. The same...
I have all the RPM/speed numbers but still can't decide between 4.88 or 5.29.
Although is not a daily driver, some of the wheeling spots are hours away and would like to experience 5.29 in real life with a similar setup on the freeway to help with the decision. Is there anybody near Orange...
So, as one of my christmas presents the wifey got me a set of the custom Husky mats and the semi custom Weathertech so I could decide which one to keep. When they finally came in and we tried them, we didn't like either one.
Weathertech looked and felt like a nice quality floormat but they...
I'm looking to join a group of guys on a Death Valley run next month and have been looking at options for carrying extra fuel.
Trying to decide between Jerry cans for the capacity and classic looks and rotopax because they can be carried tighter against the vehicle and are modular.
I would...
First of all, excuse the cheese diagrams made on the ipad with fat fingers and the fact that I'm a newb on the subject.
I'm trying to set a rear and front camera to turn on and automatically display on the head-unit through shifting into reverse for the rear and through a 3 position switch for...
I have a 97 lx450 on 35's with full armor and stock gears. I have been running on the hot side since adding bumpers and tires which I noticed for the first time when driving from the shop to the house and my AC stopped working. Since, I installed a scangauge and have been keeping an eye on the...
So, while doing some servicing and chasing an overheating problem that persists after a new blue fan clutch, I decided to check compression. The results where from 152 to 165 on the first five and 90 ! on the sixth. A wet test on the sixth cylinder increased pressure to 170 which probably...
I got the armor and lift installed a while ago but have been too busy to wheel. I have this Saturday free and I'm itching to get the new tires on the dirt and do a shakedown. Nothing too hardcore
Alex
It took me a a really long time to decide on the armor from all the options available but finally did it ! I ended up having Alex and the guys at AOE fabricate their new front bumper, sliders and custom double swing outs on a high clearance 4X4labs rear. Even though it took a couple of...
I have a new Warn 9.5ti that I have been saving for my build but it ended up not fitting in the high clearance custom bumper.
I have had it in the garage for a couple of years and was never mounted. Just had the local Warn authorized service location thoroughly check it and grease it. It is...
