hey guys, appreciate any thoughts you may have. Yesterday, was driving my 94 with factory lockers and noticed the rear locker light just came on. I figured it must be a glitch with the dash light because I never touched the switch. Came home and jacked up the rear and both left and rear under...
I guess this is more of a general question not specific to an 80 but I need some advice...
If my 80 sits a day or more and then I start her up on a rainy day (like today) it idles normal but when I start to drive it bogs down and sputters (imagine driving through a deep puddle at speed and water...
Noticed that my drag link has a lot of rotational play - can move it back and forth by hand with only slight resistance. Normal? I assume the two ends could be changed simply enough but if it's normal I'll let it go - no wobble, no tracking issues....
Thanks
Very nice! Need to replace mine soon too - was looking at after market carbeau seats but hate getting away from stock unless it's a huge benefit - looks like they sell cushion replacements too as I need the ds bottom at least - did you go full leather (luxury) or a mix of vinyl
Need to replace it - it attaches to the rear passenger bumper end and runs up inside the rear well. Some sort of splash guard....
Here is the drivers side
And the missing passenger side
Thanks guys - the universal cats are probably the way I'll go - not looking to get huge hp or mpg gains here - that's more of an engine swap forum than this - just trying to simplify everything and keep her running strong.
One more test and then no more testing..... Just wanted to know if anyone had any input on any mods for unrestricted exhaust regulation? Not trying to contribute to the smog or pollution - don't put a lot of miles on her so that's not why I'm asking - my cats are about to fall off and don't...
Gotta try this tomorrow! Mine is rattling the same way and for whatever reason, it drives me nuts! I can ignore tranny noise, little chirps when the back tire hits a bump, etc but this rattle in my face is annoying....
Pass. My truck is from the northeast and I do what I can to prevent rust as best as possible because wrenching becomes a chore rather than fun. Time and possibly a few more dollars will be well worth it when it comes to owning and working on a truck like this
Phildoh - seats look awesome - mine are on the way out and were never comfortable for me - bad hip. How difficult was the swap? I noticed some "universal" brackets offered by Corbeau - since it's a daily driver I don't have a lot of downtime nor can I fab my own bracket or anything like that -...
Got my tire carrier today - definitely good work - nice welds, solid construction. Needs to be painted (comes primed). Will update how it works with 35s but I anticipate no issues
