I'll be out of town but this looks like a good opportunity to check out a new park that is not too far away:beer:
FJ Bruisers Mudfling X. June 4th-5th. Chaos Off Road Park, WV
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this?
As far as I can tell, It looks like I have to drop the valve body enough to get the cable out (A440F)
I'm also trying to get everything I need before hand. I have a pan gasket and filter but there looks like there are also some o-rings or...
I snapped my kick-down cable on my 91 FJ80. From what I can tell, I will have to drop the valve body to replace it.
Are there any other parts/gaskets that I will need other than the pan gasket & filter?
Is there anything else I should do while I have things apart?
Thanks!
I'm wondering how you TBI guys have your charcoal canister hooked up.
i have a couple of Alldata TBI truck manuals;
the ECM diagram shows an output for an EVAP solenoid.
However, the emissions diagram shows the TBI unit going directly to the charcoal canister and then the gas tank. Plus this...
It looks like I donated several wheel weights to the Cove during the Fall Crawl.
Anyone have experience with Dyna Beads (or similar). Since I don't usually break 60MPH, I'm wondering if it's a good option:hhmm:
Hi all,
I have a nice low mileage 4.10 gear set t hat I removed from my 40 that I would like to install in my 60.
Are there any differences between the older diffs and the "conventional" diffs other than the shims vs crush sleeve?
Thanks:beer:
Thought I would pass this along incase anyone’s interested. It was forwarded to me by one of my Rover buds (yes, I have friends in low places).
Looks like it might be a good time for a good cause. I never wheeled Oakridge but I hear it’s a really nice estate.
Cheers:beer:

saginaw pump / Dorry bracket problem
Several years back I did a mini PS conversion using a Dorry bracket plus the pump, belt and pulley from Romer’s write-up. I have always had an issue with the belt slipping on hard turns. I figured it was due to the fact there are only two mounting points on...
I would like to lengthen my rear driveshaft about an inch. I’m afraid at full extension that the contact at the splines might be limited to the point where they may strip if I had to power out of an obstacle.
I’m wondering if I can cut a piece of the outer splines from a spare yoke and weld...
I’m currently running a RD08 in the front of my cruiser and I’m about to swap it to the rear so I can install a used RD02 in the front. The RD02 was an EBAY purchase and has been sitting in my basement for a year or so.
Is there anything other maintenance or upgrades other than new O-rings...
Can anyone tell me if this is OK?
I’m putting this in my land cruiser and I noticed that the reverse fork looked like it might have the end snapped off. I read that this may be common because people don’t know to have it halfway in reverse before pulling the top cover.
It seems to shift OK...
I installed a sm465 about 450 miles ago. Everything works well except for a series of clunks that I get when the clutch is engaged, especially under load. It literally sounds like something is loose in the tranny or clutch housing.
I dropped the tranny this weekend to do some improvements and...
Hi all,
I’m trying to source the spacers (toy P/N 90201-35070) that go behind the input gear. My local dealer is saying that they are no longer available.
2F SM465/Orion Install
Does anyone have an alternate P/N for this or know where they are used? Maybe I can cross reference it in the...
I’m looking the Tech Trivia section but I can’t seem to find this web page. There is a link for it in the CruiserFAQ section but it just goes back to the IH8MUD homepage.
Has this page been moved or deleted?
I have some spare driveshaft carnage so I thought I would try to fab up a trail spare driveshaft using 2 ½ schedule 40.

After doing some searching, I read that schedule 40 can be steel or iron or a combination of...
