Digital temp gauge. Best peace of mind.

Pics of where you mounted it? Also can the signal wire be extended with any usual wire (seeing as it comes with only 4foot worth?). Looking at mounting it where the cup holder on some models is.

Anyone have a digital temp gauge installed in the dash (95+ models)?

cheers billy :) Have found the temperature gauge with the short lead here on ebay.com.au (aus only version) for $47 inc postage ($31 for voltmetre). If it is just normal automotive wire i will just splice some in and solder/crimp it.

Anyone have a digital temp gauge installed in the dash (95+ models)?

well the koso superslim gauge will work fine. Have some black plastic which i will use to mount the gauge to and the gauge will just fit in the hole (with some massaging). They also come in degree's celcius for us aussie blokes (up to 120 degrees). Thanks all!

Anyone have a digital temp gauge installed in the dash (95+ models)?

cheers billy they look like what i am after! I can make a backing plate to fill the hole if needed :) What did you do to lengthen the signal wire? They only come with 3 feet in length where i would need about 8-9feet length? yohavos i have sent them an email and will post up a reply if/when...

Anyone have a digital temp gauge installed in the dash (95+ models)?

Hey, I'm trying to find a temperature gauge (digital) that will fit inside this opening as shown in the red circle (yes i am from AUS so the dash may be different). It would be a great use of the otherwise useless hole in the dash. Basically i want to fit an aftermarket temp gauge as the...

    Hot floor?

post up how you go :) and i would highly recommend spending the money on quality insulation stuff (the brand i used is still not coming to me!).

    Hot floor?

on our aussie cars it is the warmth coming from the exhaust, shot steering gasket (if it hasnt been replaced yet) and heat from the transmission tunnel. To fix it make sure the exhaust isnt bent too close to the floor, make sure the heat sheilds from the exhaust are still there, apply some...

Finally got the quad lights on the lx!!

no worries :) that explains it. Over here we just swap the birfs over to the 105 series ones from the standard and run the aisin hubs. No machining needed.

Finally got the quad lights on the lx!!

good to see the lights are still working for ya! Quick question, why the AVM hubs? They are the worst possible free wheeling/manual hub you can get? Here in Aus they are known to be weak! Try the proper japanese AISIN hubs. Much much stronger then even the heavy duty AVM's. These hubs were...
