I am preparing my 1965 FJ45 SWB for sale and
The 4wd vacuum control cable broke.
Has any come up with a way to remove the unique Toyota cable from the handle and replace it?
I can't tell if the wire is soldered or leaded into the barrel of the handle or is just press fit.
Anyone have suggestions?
Gene, Thanks for contacting me the other day.... I have not been on this forum for more than a year and I am absolutely STUNNED by the work you have done on the Phoenix wagon..... So happy it is going to live on.
PLEASE make sure to put a spilt brake system on there.... After your crash I did it...
That is amazing! that is my truck with Marv sitting in the back, and me driving. It was at the Las Vegas TLCA Glitter Gulch Gambol.... 1986.... hard to believe this plaque has been on my tool box for 34 years.
I will pass this photo on to Mrs. Spector
Anyone need a vehicle moved from LA to SLC or anywhere in between?
Give you a smoking rate to help pay for my fuel. Anything up to 9000 lbs is no problem.
Leaving LA area Saturday 02/10/18
It's not mine but looks almost the same.
I sold mine but it has since come back here to LA.
The current owner uses one of my friends for repairs on it.
I have found at least 4 different thread pitches for the 4WD knob.
I am working on reproducing these and unfortunately cant find any standard
inserts that will fit the threads. Toyota used a weird pitch on all of these
There will be a special display in Memory of Marv Spector this year at
the 20th anniversary of the TORC All Toyotafest.
