Realized I didnt follow up. Had a mobile mechanic with a specialization in electrical come by to take a look... turned out the aluminum slee battery post clamps had some oxidation preventing a good circuit with the battery. Scrubbed it with a wire brush and it powered up perfectly.
I have a white 2006 Land Cruiser with 145k miles. Slee front and rear bumpers, sliders, all skid plates, other slee parts. Warn winch with synthetic line, Safari snorkel, full length low profile roof rack, 3x floor liners. I am in San Antonio, Texas. You can call/text me at 626.423.8301 for more...
Greetings, in the quest to troubleshoot my electrical problem. Can someone tell me what the four plugs that go into the bottom of the fusible link block exactly correspond to. Is there a diagram or schematic someone could point out to me? I've identified which one of the four is giving me issues...
Started reconnecting it and troubleshooting... thus far "isolated" the issue to the unplugged wire bundle. When that is plugged in there is the odd voltage drop. Lucky for me it's the "big bundle"!
This is the part I was talking about, it appears to be fine with everything looking normal. It's like a junction box (akin to a power strip) that has built in fuses that then distribute power to the various parts that plug in.
Any advice on how to proceed from here with troubleshooting will be...
Is the terminal connector the 3"×4.5" plastic box connected just off the positive terminal? I've been attempting to fiddle with it. Could someone tell me how to open the lid without destroying all the plastic tabs? I guess I should just attempt to unplug everything first as that will make it...
I parked the car after coming home from work last week and the next day it wont start as if the battery was dead. Thought that was the case but had the battery checked and Firestone said the Interstate AGM battery is good and gave me a price t out saying 12.6V.
I got the same using my...
Talked to them on the phone my first try calling. Very helpful and easy to work with. I will need to drill 3 sets of holes due to having the dust deflector. If anyone has questions or issues with this let me know.
Reading through the instructions and documents from their websites it appears I need to drill a set of holes for mounting th PP to the BB... also, bc my LC like most has a dust deflector on the rear hatch I need to drill another 2 sets of holes I'm guessing to shift the rack forward and gain...
Heat gun was absolutely necessary and a worthwhile pick up from HF... nothing like 1000F temps to help loosen the adhesion. Also, a plastic trim remover tool worked wonders.
I was a little disappointed with how the rhino rack backbone screwed down but it is over... the angle of the supports...
Removing the factory roof rack off a 2006 LC. Everything is unbolted and I noticed the washer like reinforcement that is stock on to the original mounting points. I'm referring to the elongated black thing covering the two holes.
I was originally going to leave them but the rhino rack backbone...
I just saw you are in Tampa. I'm coming to MacDill next week and wanted to ask if there are any Cruisers worth checking out in the area? Thanks in advance!
FWIW, I love the look and proportions of a lifted 73 with larger tires. I love the 43 with the soft top. The lines of the 60 are timeless...
That's it! I was expecting or hoping to fall in love but didn't. Maybe I would have if it had a 2ish inch lift and 33s. . I'm a sucker for looks but do appreciate the quality on the inside as well. The HZJ73 was a hardtop and the AC was good which is necessary for TX. The FJ43 is a drool...
