I have the bottom 6in or so of an fj60 I think it was an 85. A tree fell on it and this is the last pieces I have left. I have both sides complete from firewall to tail light cut about 6in in the floor and 6 in up from the bottom more in some areas. Its all rust free ca steel ready to be welded...
I am in need of a good complete split t case with shifter for my 86 fj60. preferably in socal so I don't have to pay for shipping but if you are willing to ship it give me a price. let me know what you have thanks
I've gone over some pretty big rocks with my 60. I'm using an 80 front with the radius arms and stock 80 sway bar. So not really the same setup but I feel it limits my travel and causes my rear suspension to bottom out before it should. I would also be interested to see if anyone is running the...
this has been discussed in detail. I will say this its not enough to just upgrade one thing it won't work properly. It will probably work better than what you have because what you have is, in your words " been going for awhile". So if you want to upgrade now is the time to do it but you must do...
all the link and coil buckets have been cut off and spring perches have been welded on. So putting it under an 80 is a no go unless you want to swap over to leaf springs.this axle is Set up for a 60. It wouldn't be too difficult to to put under a 40.
well by that logic pin 20 and 57 on c1 (the blue connector when you get it off) of the pcm are the keep alive voltage. make sure you have solid battery voltage at those pins with the key off. I was going for the o2 sensors taking time to heat up before producing an accurate voltage.
ok new price if I have to ship or move $600 plus ride if someone picked it up $500 this is my bottom offer. someone wants this axle but if not there is plenty of room in my shed until someone dose or I have a new use for it.
if I had to take a guess I would say o2 sensor especially since the map sensor has been ruled out. A scan tool that allows you to view live data would allow you to see what sensor is giving bad info on the cold start. With the maf deleted the pcm becomes more reliant on the rest of the sensors...
I don't understand this brake line worry. If we are talking about a body lift the only things that will be effected are things that are attached to the body and frame. So brake lines from the frame to the axle will not be effected. The brake and clutch lines that go from the body to the frame...
this might be dumb but I would take the high pressure hose off the box and have someone hold it in a bucket or better yet the reservoir and start the truck for a min to see if the pump is in fact pumping. Its a simple free test but might be a bit messy.
figured I would update this thread. so I ended up with a 4.8 4l60e 37" km2s a 91 front axle aussie locker and longs with 60 lockouts. the rear was a stock 96 with e-locker that I put on SUA and made my own harness for. after two years of abuse the rear axle still lives but I striped the front...
