I’m not sure. If I keep it I will do it myself. They sell a kit with timing belt, water pump, gaskets etc on Amazon. I believe the kit is in the $300 range. There are write ups on this forum on how to do it.
It’s due for second timing belt replacement. First replacement was done by dealer at approx. 100,000 miles. Obviously this affects value so any offer should take it into account. Thanks for your question.
Thanks for your comments Quick. They are the voice of reason. I’ve been on this forum a while but am not real active. I know we all want a deal. I just thought I would cross post on here in case there were any central Florida folks looking for a 100 series. I’m negotiable to a certain point...
2002 100 series for sale. Located in Orlando, FL. I am the second owner. 220k miles. Vehicle is generally in goodcondition. We have owned it since 100k. No accidents and clean car fax report. It is my wife's daily driver. $9,500 OBO
That is perfect! Thanks so much. BTW, do you know if there is a replacement 3 pin plug for the alternator from the dealer or do I just need to go with an aftermarket repair pigtail? The plug crumbled when I went to remove it from the alternator.
Sorry to post this thread but I have searched and didn't see the answer. I am in the process of replacing the alternator in my 2002 LC and unbolted the power steering pump to move out of the way. In the process, the vacuum lines came off the pump. Unfortunately, I don't have a picture or...
How did the steering wheel turn out from the place in Ft Lauderdale? I am in Orlando and need my wife's steering wheel recovered. What did they charge? Do you still have the loaner?
Thanks, I saw in another post that you indicated that you verified that you had power to the ECU. Is there a particular pin to test for that? Any suggestions on where to locate one, other than the dealer?
Out of curiosity, how did you determine that the ABS ECU was bad? On my LC, I have multiple lights on the dash and techstream cannot communicate with the ABS ECU. My guess is that the ECU is bad but I was not sure if there is something else that could cause the problem.
Thanks for any advice.
That's funny about the Apple all in one. I may have had the same one in the late 1980s. I don't even think it had a harddrive. I had to swap the floppy disks in an out and that is when the discs were still floppy.
I apologize in advance for my ignorance, but will techstream run on a Mac? I have all Apple products in my house and business. I assume I could load an emulator. Are there other scan devices/sofware that you would recommend that work with Macs or Iphones/Ipads?
I have the christmas tree dash lights and have searched the forum pretty thoroughly. As expected, no OBDII codes show up with typical scanner so I did the manual diagnostic by connecting the Tc and E1 terminals. Unfortunately, after I connect the terminals and turn the ignition on, the ABS...
