They don't turn up much around here, so I was surprised to see two on the same day.
Thanks for the help. I searched pretty thoroughly, I thought, through the site and FSM, but could not find what I needed. The owner's manual is with the LC at the shop, so I couldn't look there tonight. So 109 lb-ft for all pre '94 80's. There.
Tomorrow I am going to get some new tires put on my LC, and I'd like to know the factory specced torque for lug nuts going on a 15" aluminum wheel. I had some issues this afternoon with some of the studs on our van shearing off, and I suspect the nuts were severly overtightened. Thanks!
Price figures into it. Back when I started researching, the smaller tires were obviously cheaper. I figured that was because the 235 size seems more common--I did not figure overall tire size into it.
Given the amount I drive the LC, I am on a fairly modest budget. However, I did not...
I am going to get new tires in a week or so--I am going with the OEM 235 75 15s. The spare has never been on the road and looks to be in good shape, but it is a 31 10.5 15. Were I to have a flat, could I run the 31 as a spare for a few days if need be?
I am not sure how different the two...
You can bridge two of the contacts in the relay socket to see if it is the relay or not. Unfortunately, I don't remember which two... it's the ones with the yellow/red and red/yellow wires attached to the contacts. Somebody else may give you the right numbers.
You can rewire the fuse box...
It seems like my sunroof is sitting too low to seal properly in its relaxed state. When I push up on it slightly, the gap closes; let go, it reappears.
Is this gap atypical? And if so, are there adjustments I can do to snug it up? It seems like the adjustments in the FSM are for the...
I wouldn't rely on sparks to find the draw. Use a multimeter instead--you can see the amount of the draw by the readout, and you might have more than one circuit drawing electricity so you'll probably want to check as many as you can. You can do the same thing with a test light, but you won't...
I have the FSM and am thinking I might try to loosen up my transfer shift lever tomorrow. Before I start in from the top, can I access and remove the pin that connects the shift lever from beneath the LC to see if it is indeed the lever that is binding?
If so, I'm thinking the pin is on...
Post a thread in the Classifieds (tab up top). Put it in the Parts section, I'd say, or see if somebody's already parting out an FJ80 and still has the parts you need. Good luck!
