Is 11.1 volts @ the starter solonoid to low?

I did measure the voltage with the wire not connected to the solenoid (open). So I guess according to the last few posts this voltage is low. If I had measured with it connected then I think 11.1v would have been ok. Although I'm not sure I would want to be down there while that thing is...

Thanks for the responses guys, and yes I'm talking about the signal wire to the solenoid coil and not the main cable from the battery. lacruiser - Is it difficult is it and what's invovled in cleaning the NSS? Thanks again!

Is 11.1 volts @ the starter solonoid to low?

Hi Everyone, I've been having some strange starter issues intermittantly on my '93 that has 166Kmiles. I replace the starter contact and plunger about 10k ago btw. I did a search and took some measurements and wanted to see what you all thought about this. I measured the following: - 12.2...

Broken Power Seat Tilt Switch Fix

What is the little nub thing below the screw on the same broken switch for? I've got the same broken switch, but the lower nub thing doesn't have the black boot looking thing... only the white portion. (Sorry for the non-technical terms...) :)

Does this Brass Spindle bushing need replacing?

Hi Guys, I'm in the middle of a front axle service on my '93, and found what looks like a worn brass spindle bushing. Should this be replaced? Is this normal? I wasn't getting any strange vibrations or anything that I could notice. Thanks!

    Dumb brake question

Hi All, I was looking at some '93s. If it has 4-wheel disks does that mean it also has 4-wheel ABS? Just wondering. Thanks!

Brake difference between 93/94 and 95-97?

Hi Everyone, Besides doing some off road adventures I'll be pulling a boat and was told that the 95-97 has the best brakes. What is the difference between the two? What do you all think it would take to upgrade the brakes to the 95-97 performance and still maintain 4-wheel ABS? Is there even...

    How much is too much?

Doug - I haven't actually looked at the records yet, but he "says" only normal maintenance types of things, following the manual/dealer rec'd., nothing major. Christo - Well I was planning on no loan, but that leaves little money for the fun stuff. I hope I can do the work and definately...

    How much is too much?

Thanks for all the replies. I guess I should have been a little clearer Hi All, Thanks for the feedback. I should have ordered my Q's. I am more worried about the Cruiser having 118K and having service records only for the last 4.5 years. My gut is to go for it, but I wasn't sure if I would...

    How much is too much?

Hi All, I'm looking at a '95 LC pretty much loaded and has the front and rear lockers. It has about 118K miles and seems to be in good condition, with some recent service (new tirers, bakes all around). Only has documentation for the last 4.5 years though. Is $12K on the high side? Should I...
