    Code 14 or Code 41?

Okay, here's the dumb question of the day... I finished my head gasket, all is good. I threw the paperclip in to doublecheck the timing, and I get either 1 flash followed by 4, or is it 4 flashes followed by 1? Code book says 14 is igniter circuit and 41 is throttle position sensor. Any input?

Glad I did the head gasket.

After much internal debate, I finally decided to do the head gasket job as preventative maintenance. My valve seals were leaking at start up which I didn't like, so I pulled the trigger and bought the kit from Dan. Went to my brother's shop on Sunday(yikes, Jeep dealer)where he pulled the head...

LX 450 Wheels and/or 265/75/16 Studded Snow Tires, Oregon

SOLD -I have a set of nice LX-450 wheels with a decent set of studded snows on them that I won't need once I get rid of my awful in the snow worn out BFG all-terrains. I can separate and sell either, I'm thinking $400.00 for the wheels and $100.00 for the tires. I have the center caps as well...

    Bass ackwards stinkbug removal idea

OME Medium lift stinkbug removal idea I currently have the 851/860 Medium OME spring combo, with a winchless ARB up front and ARB side steps. I have a lot of stinkbug (1.5" or so). Since I tow fairly light boats ( 75-125 lb tongue weight & 1550 lb max), I was thinking would it work to swap...

PAIR Valve creates smoke at start up?

I plugged the vacuum hose to the pair valve to try to diagnose some topend engine noises, and voila, no more blue smoke at start up. Has anyone messed around with the internals of the Pair valve to know if it could have internal problems and or can be fixed? I had assumed I had leaking valve...

    Why not electric puller fans?

As a boat towing, marginally overheating, shaman needle avoiding 93 owner, I read all of these posts about cooling with some degree of interest. My little bro the dodge mechanic and ultimate motor head says "Quit screwing around, lets do the head gasket and get it over with. Then we'll rip out...

    Birf repack, the easy way.

I've had Cdan's birf kit in the garage for months now, dreading the project as my garage is limited in it's capacity. Little (well not so little, actually) brother to the rescue! He is a dodge and heep certified wrench at a stealership within an hours drive, and he wants to earn some Xmas dough...

    New ECM, Same Codes, Arrghh

Had Codes 83,84,85, for which the fix was to replace old 60220 ECM with newer model 60221 ECM. Runs great as always, but threw new code. Checked code, get 83, 84, 85. Wait, that's where I started, %$#%^#@. Codes are stored in the ECM, so if the new ECM throws the old code, what do I do? Is it...

    Another code 83 victim...

Finally opened up my new FSM from Cdan in order to diagnose my very intermittent CEL. Alas, Codes 83,84, 85 :crybaby: . Found a used part 60221 at a local junkyard for $275.00. Thanks for all the info I gained from searching the board, especially from Cdan on this issue.

    Mudflap Part Number???

Hey gang, Help me guide my local Toy Parts Idiot (no offense to Dan, this particular person is an idiot) to the right part number for a set of mudflaps for my 93. I searched but couldn't find a reference to the actual part # on the board. I bought the :princess: a new car (Heep Liberty :o...

    "D" Lamp Fix...

Got a little bit hot under the collar with the mrs. the other day while touring in the 80. The end result was I smacked the top of the gearshift with some "emphasis". :censor: Two results, #1 - no nookie for a couple of days, #2 Instantaneous healing of "burnt out" "D" lamp in dash. Go figure...
