9 MPG on long road trip

Back to the tech - Check for proper functioning of the PAIR valve, It can go bad and put air in the exhaust when it's not supposed to, causing the computer to think the truck is running lean.

9 MPG on long road trip

I'm firmly convinced Ethanol costs more mpg than the loss of energy value. I think it screws up the computer too. I can run to Boise from Portland at 12-12.5 mpg, fill with non-ethanol fuel in Boise and get 13-14 around town while there and then get 15.5 for the first tank back to Pendleton...

In fzj80 Real time side of road help

No, but a failed rear output shaft bearing would. You need a tow. I would suspect the rear bearing of the transfer case is gone as well as the u joints, and you are seeing the fluid run down to the lowest point on the transfer case before dripping/pouring to the ground. Just a guess.

    Tracking Issues with 315's

My experience with 35 and 37 inch tires is that they are wider enough to put you on the outside edges of the wheel ruts. The truck will want to center in the ruts but cannot because it's too wide. fixing the caster will improve it but not fix it. It's one reason I like tall skinny tires.

o2 sensor blockoff plates? (deleting PAIR system)

I used a piece of flat bar. I used the gaskets as templates and just cut them to shape with a grinder, then drilled the holes. It took longer to find the flat bar in the pile than to make them.

It's kind of a pain - there's a screw on the top of the frame that holds the divider in that I had a heck of a time with. other than that, just be patient.
