Hello guys, been a while since. i've been on the forum.
After watching the nut job Scotty Kilmer on Youtube I went ahead and purchased one can each of the fuel and oil treatment from ATS. Link below.

My truck has 150K...
Gasket is leaking so I thought I'd replace it. The pan is hung up where the dip stick tube connects to the dipstick tube running to the engine compartment. I can see the joint...it's only about a foot away from the pan. I looked up the diagram of the pan and can see this tube extension is...
Just when I was loving my truck so much!
Started it today and it was making a horrible noise....loose chain, clanking, banging. Managed to limp it home and it drove ok, kinda sluggish. After I parked it there was dirty oil looking fluid underneath that turned out to be dirty antifreeze I think...
Truck was giving me some early symptoms, but today it died on the highway. It started again and I limped it to work and to a gas station across the street. Running very rough, stumbling, stalled twice, almost didn't start the second time. Seems putting under load exasperates the problem...I'm...
So after coming back from vacation last week, there on my doorstep was a box from a MUD recommended supplier containing what appears to be a REMAN A/C compressor. Excellent!
Except I ordered one last year, got it, installed it, and the A/C now works great. So what is this?
After calling them...
Anybody in Westchester ever replace the alternator on their FJ62? Prior posts say it's a bear of a job and I'm thinking of going professional install as I'm not sure I have the patience or inclination...

Does anyone know where the VR is actually located on an FJ62? The FSM is quiet on the subject (or is it called the IC regulator there?). I'm having charging issues and I'd like to swap it out if possible before pulling the alternator.
Thanks
Nick
We were off to Boston this morning and got about 60 miles before I noticed what felt like a bad miss. I was losing power as I tried to accelerate so I pulled over quickly to take a look. All the gauges were good, no AT Temp light, plenty of fluids, engine was sweet...ran fine in Park but since...
Got some new Michelin ATX 31" on her last week. Amazing how better it rides. Smooth baby, smooth.
They have them at 38 lbs front and rear. What is the suggested pressure?
Thanks
Nick
Filled the truck today and the gauge only went to 8/10th's. I then topped it off again, making sure I squeezed as much as possible in there. Again, it's not registering Full. What's up with this?
Thought you guys might be interested in seeing what my LC's sticker was back in the day.
Note the estimated MPG! Guess I'm right on target at 13!
Just for the record, I got them down to $18,400, according to the sales receipt! Quite the bargain!

My torque wrench doesn't go below 20 FOOT lbs...I'm installing a new side cover cork gasket and don't want to go too loose or snap the bolt.
I'm guessing it's a little more than 'snug'...other than buying a new torque wrench, can you guys give me a feel?
Seems awfully low...
The A/C compressor is bolted to the block in 5 places next to the front end of the side cover. I don't think the side cover will come off without removing this. I've got the bolts loosened, one's giving me a problem because of access, but my question is this: Do I have to remove the whole thing...
Gearing up to replace the gasket. Snuck underneath the truck this weekend to poke around and noticed it's blowing oil and messing up my beauty's bottom!
I've done the search and it doesn't seem to be that difficult, even though I'm pretty much a weekend warrior. If you guys say it takes 2...
Blue light comes on, fan works, pulley turning. Blows hot air. Don't think the clutch is engaging but how can I tell?
I haven't used the A/C in years, but it would be nice to have it during these hot days in NY.
Suggestions? Diagnostics?
Thanks
Nick
When driving down the highway, my steering wheel is cocked a bit to the right, yet when I let it go the truck goes left. It's not really a 'pull' per se, more like a drift.
Am I in need of an alignment, or something more serious? I've checked the FAQ for how to do an alignment, but I figured...
Just replaced the carpet remnant that's been in the back for 24 years with a new piece. Color is not great but hey, its free and easy. Just cut to shape and lay it down.
The original carpeting underneath looks brand new from the factory because its never seen the light of day!
