Thanks!
Only plans are light wheeling, when trying to get somewhere. No plans to need a tilt-o-meter ;) Think I will keep the carbed motor and get it back up and running. Finding a donor truck in my area, that has a decent 22RE, plus wiring, and is a reasonable price, is a tall order.
Yeah, I think that’s what I will do. Might as well while I am in there. Any thoughts on putting in an RE to replace the R? Worth the time and effort, or not really?
Greetings all,
Long time 2nd gen owner, but I haven’t had one in a few years (sold my ‘94 to buy a Tundra when we were having a kid. Why’d I do that again? Sell the truck I mean).
I will be picking up an ‘86 with 114K on it, on Saturday (price was too good to pass on). My intention is to get...
Howdy,
I am up in Bellingham, and have a '76 55 that is a runner, and I also have a couple of parts trucks. I am working on a '79 that I will keep, so the '76 needs to go, and I pretty much have all good metal for the bad spots on the '76.

Howdy,
Did you have all new oil cooler and steering pump lines made up? If so, any issues with connecting to OEM threads?
I am in the process of putting my OM617 back together, and would really like to get rid of the old hoses.
@crustyBJ60
Yeah man, I have one, with a key too. I won't be back for 3 weeks though (on Van Isl now ;)) I have been off for MUD for a while, but will have the time to devote to pigs when I get back. I am just S of the Peace Arch crossing.
This one was for sale a year or so ago for $10k. I was pretty interested, but bailed after talking to the guy in detail. Ask for more pics of the rust areas, and get detailed info on motor if interested.
Ooooo.......I don't know. I've rebuilt my power steering pump, but I have not yet installed water pump, thermostat, etc.
Good motivation however!
Let's get these babies moving!
