Okay folks...it's sold.
I want to apologize to those of you that wanted me to break it up and send seperately. Right after I posted this stuff for sale I broke 4 ribs under my right shoulder blade. I could not function to get this stuff moved around or to a shipper.
Thanks for the...

Not much to tell. Arb is near perfect, a few "contact" points and small scratches. All Hardware and mounting instructions.
Warn came off a Heep was a factory add-on. Original owner used it once to pull a log out of the woods.
I used it twice...
very sorry to say that I sold my 1984 fj60. Kept the arb and winch due to everyone lowballing me on the Price of the cruiser with the gear, so I took if off.

Marlin has a seal that is heavier duty than the stock 60 seal.
I've also read that the fj 62 seal is better than the 60 seal.
Both the above seals have double "wipers" or what ever the deal is called that does the sealing, the 60 seal only has one.
I know that the above is filled with...
Another FJ Steelie question. Been all over the search engine. I know spacers can suck, however I am going to use them.
Having said that:
I've read where people are using 1.25 inch spacers and I have read where 1.5 inch spacers are used.
Looks like I can't find a tire any narrower than 11.5...
these are 7.5 inch. And I have not bought them yet...just trying them out.
Now it's all making more sence. I did not have my head wrapped around the whole geomitry deal...
given that 17" tires are at least $50 more than a 15-16" rim tire...I might just go ahead and order some with the correct...
Yes I've searched.
I brought home a fjc 17" steelie. I put it on the front left hub. There was no tire on the FjC wheel. The wheel cleared the tie rod and the claiper.
It seems the reason for spacers is to get clearance over the caliper and the tie rod. Both are inside the (inside) of the...
Was told today that there is a caste aluminum o marine oiil pan for the 4bt that would not require a SOA lift to get the 4bt into a fj60. What do you know about it?
My fj 60 weights 5550 lbs wit ARB front bull bar and 8274 winch and some gear.I s a 4bt gonna pull this mass down he road and...
Why not a gerry can holder?
so I gotta ask, if your going to the expense of building a bumper rack, why not add a Gerry can rack? do you have a 30+ gallon aftermarket tank?
Not being a smart ass I'm just asking. It's a great looking bumper and the rig is the right color.

Found it!
Yep door and back hatch seals. they are in good shape...visually. However they have shrunk and be come so soft that they are not sealing properly. This dust is Volcanic Pumice, very fine as in talcum powder fine.
Once I got it in the day light with no gear in it I could follw the...
Thanks I'll check all these areas, I have not looked at any of these possible sources, the wiper motor and door seal are real possibilities. However, I have been treating the seals every 6 months and they are only 27 years old so why would they leak now?....
REF: 1984 FJ60 Stock engine/drive train. 117K miles no rust.
Went on a 500 mile mostly dirt/gravel road trip this week. Had this rig since 2003, Been on countless trips on these same roads in the same conditions never had this problem:
Dust is entering the cabin regardless of position of the...
check all the fluids
get under the rig and check the tranny. transfer and differential fluids. Grab the drive shaft and try to twist it around checking for free play which would be a sign of wear in the universals/differentiable/tranny/transfer case.
Also look for loose or missing...
Got zero rust :D. 116K miles garage queen, West coast rig, not driven in the winter (they put magnesium chloride on Oregon rds now...) ...got all stock everything...got no pitman puller! I'll get after it...your right it needs to be done, it stopped leaking months ago..I'm betting that...
