Get that old school look , or a set of rollers.
Tires and Rims - toyota
These would look great painted OEM grey and could be run on an FJ40 with wheel spacers.
I like them a lot , I have left mine black for now. I run them with no spacer (around town) for now but they do rub and I am going to try 1/4 spacer and see.
Added some fj 17 inch black rims and AT tires so I can daily drive it. Picked these up for $ 80 (all 5) next I will paint them OEM grey. They even came with the end caps.
Yes that is the link I was looking for...Thanks I did see your gauge modification and I think that is one if the most creative creations I have seen. Really great. It is on my list of dos. But first I have to get set up with my gauges...
OK so I have been searching , and cant seem to find what I am looking for. I unwisely bought some auto meter gauges before posting. Now I am trying to figure out what else I need to make everything work. I bought a 3 gauge set : volt, water and Oil . I need some advise on the water temp...
It looks like you did pretty good if it runs and drives OK. Hope you have tools or access to them and stay connected to this site and you will do pretty good.
My only 2 cents is make sure to secure the hood with more then old speaker wire. Most shippers have fine print about damages caused by latches or other items. Not responsible for damages ! Other than that 675 dollars from CO to Ga. was not a bad price.
I would take it off to check for any rust issues under the top , or around the rear corners. Plus it builds your understanding of rusty screws and snapped bolts. Then soft top all the way.
The rear seat is a best top rear seat which folds forward. I got it of Craigslist for $100 and it was brand new. It has worked out really well.
and to answer the bed question on the truck, yes the bed has been replaced along with some other areas. I think they did a good job and I have no...
last one ... Future mods.
I cant forget future mods...:wrench:
I am currently planning for a hell creek 2 1/2 lift, then a front axle service with a disk brake conversion. Then 33x9.5 on black wagon wheels. I am thinking of some auto meter gauges so I can see whats going on a little better...
A little more...
So the seller and I talked and I asked him to read his shipping invoice real careful and make sure he wanted to pursue getting any money out of the shipper. After some talking the seller and I ended up coming up with a suitable price deduction for the damaged hood and missing...
Still some more...
The seller was very helpful in helping with the shipping, I had thought about flying out and driving back but it was too risky plus I had never seen the truck run. So I got a great deal on shipping 675 (well sort of) I was excited and then told the wife what was coming in...

So I called the guy on the phone hoping it was still for sale but also kind of knowing that it was gone. Of course he said he still had it. So I asked a ton of questions and wanted to know the full story of how he got it in the states. His story was he and a friend flew down to...
