I would love to say it was just the inner that's broken, I could have got that fixed. But I've destroyed the sheath as well (Got a branch or something wedged under there).
From what i've worked out, most late 90's hilux's / surfs have the same ends, just not sure whether the length will be long...
Hi All,
Does anyone know if any other Toyota speedo cables are interchangeable with the prado ones?
ie 60 / 75 / 80 series, hilux?
Mine's completely broken, and chances of finding one here in Australia are slim...
Toyota part no. is: 83710-60271
Cheers.
Hi guys,
My prado has shat the fan clutch, i'm in the process of deciding whether to change over to thermo fan or buy another clutch.
From what I've worked out so far, the it's going to cost me about the same to change over to thermo.
The main question i have is do thermo's cause more...
The pto should clear my exhaust, if not it would be reasonably easy to rectify. But I was talking about the mid mount pto kbushnz did in this thread:

I'm thinking of getting the tigerz 11 winch, they're ~$800, so...
Thanks for the offer, I was thinking about it a bit more, I think electric will probably be better, just for the fact that if my bus was to stop at least I can still hopefully pull my self out, that's the only real down side I can find with pto set up, it would be alright if it was just a...
The drive shaft's aren't too much of a worry, just shorten them. Not many people down here seem to like / have pto's not sure why, they just seem to prefer electric. I'm sure I could come up with something creative for the selected if I decided to go down this track.
Cheers for that, I...
Cheers, so I've got to get an extra gear that goes inside the transfer aswell?
I had a look through the list of vehicles, the 75's are called up, but the 80's aren't so i'm still a bit unsure whether it'll fit
This is what I'm looking at:
Toyota Landcruiser pto winch | Other Parts &...
Hey all,
can anyone tell whether a pto gear set up off a 75 series (also suit an 80 series) will bolt up to my 78 series prado? I"m guessing the answer is no being different transfers, but I though I would ask any way.
Cheers, Tassie KZJ
I got it done here in town at alberts diesel, I'm not sure if he tweaked it at all. I originally got told it was going to cost me around $1k, but the main body was stuffed so it ended up costing me $1.5. I also believe I was one of the first people to have my electric pump done there as they'd...
Ah cool, my old man was trying to tell me they're different!
That's not a bad price for the pump, it's about what it cost me to get my electric one rebuilt
Looks good, are you still running the 1kz-te injectors? or are you running a set of 1kz-t injectors?
If you don't mind me asking what was the pump worth?
That looks the business, I think I'll head down the same road you went and cut through the chassis. Now I just need to find some more time and some more steel to use :p
Yeah I was bloody lucky, and I got it for a good price as well :D
here's a few photo's for you, the first one is how I picked it up and I've built it up for there
Well I suppose I'll put up my latest effort, nothing special, but hopefully it'll do the job (Sorry about the low quality photo, it's the only one I've got of it finished and painted) I still need to plate in the front in front of the chassis, but I won't do that I've got enough money to buy a winch
Cheers, here my current rear bar set up with out the tow bar on
I'm now thinking I might cut through the chassis, run a 150 x 75 duragal channel across the rear of the chassis with plates coming out similar to my front bar & do a rear quarter chop with tube side bars.
Hey every one,
I'm just after a few ideas / photo's of everyone's hayman reese setup's.
I'm looking at building one from scratch because the one that's currently on my bus sits a good 100mm further out than the chassis and there's about a 50mm gap from the bottom of the chassis to the top of...
It may also make a difference what side of the boost controller you plumb your gauge in, on side will only show the pressure that the waste gate is getting, the other side will show what the intake pressure is getting.
Yeah I'd still love the measurements, does the rear drop a fair bit when loaded up? I have a set of drawers in the rear that carry's most of my tools & recovery gear. The bigger question is does it flex alot better than the factory set up? Did remove the sway bars or drop the mounts by 2"?
