    Igniter and ballast wiring with painless

    All the wiring is done(I think). When I turn the key the starer just spins, it does not engage. Checked the wiring, it's wired the way painless says. Any thoughts as to why it's not engaging? It started before the rewire.

    Ok ran a ground just for that light, made no difference. Some how I'm getting power bleeding through. 12V at the park light and 3.4V at the turn.

    it's a 79. I'll try a different ground. Everything is new on this, so rust is not an issue. I have run all new grounds.

    I made jumpers for the painless turn and haz flashers. I'm using the using the stock switches. I can't find how power is getting to the right turn side of the harness when the parks are on. I just pulled the fuse panel out can't find anything wrong there. I must be missing something...

    I'm wiring a 79 FJ40 with a Painless harness. The E brake light part works fine. Master cylinder pressure switch part I'm not so sure. When I turn the key on the brake light comes on. If I step on the brake it goes out, is this correct? If so what applies pressure when it's running?

    How would you wiring in the interior light in the dash and under the dash in a 79 FJ40? The Painless harness does not have a wire for them. Also if anyone has a photo of the location of the under dash location that would be great.

    My diagram for a 79 FJ40 does not show the wiring for the internal light in the light switch. Is this light on only when the lights are on or is it always on?
