Indeed, mud can be a huge problem with certain brake designs.
If you figure out a caliper with an electric park brake function or a mechanical function, I’d like to see it.

If you take the time to read the factory service manual for 70 or 80 series rear disc brake parking brake setup and repair procedures, and follow them to the letter, your parking brake will work very effectively.
It’s also very important to ensure the parking brake bell cranks and pivots move...
You most likely have a bad connection at your alternator B+ terminal or at the fusible link from the alternator to the battery.
Also, given you mileage at 219,000 Kms, you are due for an alternator rebuild as well as a new set of starter solenoid contacts and a plunger.

Yes, you can use a cable to pull the lever into the stop position.
The default position is “engine run”.
And the only feature you may lose, unless you adapt your cable to do this, is the over-injection position that the EDIC motor pulls the pump into during engine cranking.

Are you currently running a turbo?
You don't have much in the way of details about your engine set up other than that.
Turbo? AFR gauge? Boost gauge? Intercooler?

Sorry, I don’t login to to ‘Mud very often as business and life is far too busy for me.
Pre-topped pistons have a few thou taken off the top at the manufacturer/supplier level to allow for either a coating such as ceramic or anodizing (for piston crown heat control), or when the block has been...
The later FF rear disc brake axles do run a different wheel bearing seal, however.
The older style dust seal acts to prevent oil from contaminating the brake drum if oil leaks from the axle tube into the hub and the leaks out the bearing hub past the wheel bearing seal.
The later seal has a...
Not suitable for 80 Series as the outer spline pitch angle is different and they will not engage the drive flanges, and are not compatible with manual hubs as a result of the different spline pitch.

You're trying to second guess a kit that's been around a very long time and the dimensions are very exacting - this kit was designed specifically for these vehicles - the 77s, and 78s etc.
Your wheels are the oddball part here. They little bit that protrudes in is oddball, and they are either...
Here's a used item for sale that I have just listed - been getting enquires about used parts availability.

The after glow is to provide for smoother running after initial start-up and reduce emissions while the engine is warming up.
Where I live, we can get down to -32C or lower, and it's hard enough starting at these temperatures even with the glow functioning properly, and after glow is...
if you change the bearing hub and spindles to the non-electric locking hub versions you can use a drive flange.
I expect it should work just fine to run a drive flange on top of the adapter plates too.
It's really a matter of which way you want to go.
And, yes, you're right, the Aisin manual...
May different Land Cruisers came with drive flanges (aka drive plates) as the factory installed non-option, "poor man's" vehicle.
Other models such as many of the 80 series had flanges as they are full-time 4WD and require them since adding selectable hubs would mean the vehicle would not move...
Google translate helped with what I did not understand from my weak Spanish:
"Hello how are you, mine is an Hj61, 12HT,
Now he installed an alternator with an internal regulator.
now that the cold has come here in Spain, the same thing happens to me that at the first start the voltmeter on the...

The provided studs are standard length OEM hub studs.
The other 4 studs you are thinking of are re-used from the studs that exist with the electric locking hub, with their respective cone washers etc.
The kit is complete: there are no other parts to source, other than selecting the hubs you...
This is normal operation.
Check your Engine FSM to see how long the glow system runs for. It's quite long - you will see a substantial drop in charging voltage when it's running for the first few minutes. It will be well below 28V (charging voltage) and can get really low - if you're not used...
Does it affect charging?
Yes, of course it will.
In cold weather, depending on how cold your area is, the glow system may run for up to a couple of minutes. The exact time can be seen if you look at the time vs temperature chart in the engine manual for the glow timer.
What you will see when...
